pretty sure there's already a megatron in the nfl so that would work against his plan.I hope he's Soundwave....ooooh, no, Megatron! Remember when Megatron was banned 'cos he transformed into a gun? Please be Megatron, please be Megatron!

who knows? gasnier left dragons for union because of third party fk ups, didn't he?Graeme Hughes wouldn't have a f**king clue what's going on at the Eels.
That's almost as disappointing as the 'charity' shopping vouchers I bought last week, with which I was assured I could get twice the value in groceries. Then I found out I was actually entitled to 3, yes 3, gossip magazines worth a total of 20 bucks, a bottle of water and a couple of breakfast bars.

I haven't heard anything specific (except for that Graham Hughes reference about not getting third party payments), but apparently the full story is not being told about his exact reasons for leaving.
It's disappointing on alot of levels if there is more to it.
Yeah - no doubt Graham Hughes is right.
Hayne quit the Eels because of something to do with third party payments. He wasn't happy that something didn't get paid, so he took a 90% pay CUT....
Sound logic from Hughes, as always.

Who knows whether this was what others have referred to when they have said there is more to the Jarryd Hayne story than is being told.
Bec Wilson has also now commented that Jarryd Hayne will be back playing in the NRL by the start of 2015, but not for Parramatta...
Lots of rumours flying around...
He's gay.?
i thought that was fairly obvious.
Been saying it for years. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
if hayne is carrying that much weight that he says he wants to shed (5-10kg) I'd be asking what the hell he was doing playing fat (which if he was doing as much cardio as he says he wouldn't be carrying that much). if he thinks stripping/wasting that much muscle will benefit him then he probably needs a reality check as he will lose a lot of size, power and strength.
be interesting to see how he goes the first time a helmet plows into him if he gets a run somewhere as the protective gear they use also double as weaponry.

Hughes may have thought of that, drawn parallels to hayne, done the maths and made up an answer.
or he could be on the money. we may never know.
if a third party deal the club had organised stuffed him over you could understand to some extent hayne leaving. given Dave smith mentioned helping to try keep hayne in the code there may be something to it as hayne claiming it wasn't about $ but really, what else is there the nrl could jump in to assist outside of that to keep him?

I reckon he will replace Stewart at Manly.
He will be back in the NRL by June 30 I reckon. Like many of our players who leave on a bad note he will end up with a premiership before we do. I fear he has wanted out for a while and the big clean out will leave Manly the only team with an opportunity to sign him. Hopoate will probably follow.I think Manly will target Hopoate first.
Why can't we just accept hayne left as he wanted try his luck in the NFL???
- If he wanted to leave the eels due to 3rd party deals he could have just gone to another club ?it is only about a week before he could sign with another club
- he has taken a huge pay cut to try his luck in the NFL
- Haynes own words as his press conference ( where there was no pressure from the club) was that he was just about to become the highest paid NRL - would he really be negotiating with the eels if he was that keen to go to another club
- he has mentioned many times eels are his club
- seriously if there was any bad blood between the eels and hayne, why the f**k would eels with our chairman / CEO fully participate in his leaving press conference ?
- if it was all about money, he could pretty much write his own cheque by going to French rugby
- he did pull out of the four nations, it's not like he is a seasoned Aust rep yet
They said on Sportsnight last night that a doco crew was following Hayne around in LA.
