if you have fox sports package (and don't need to be anywhere on a Monday or hook up fox go to your work computer) espn have a great show called nfl redzone.

pretty much just goes where the action is and no commercials. unless you were after one specific game in which case a league pass online is the way to go, it's the best nfl game show I've seen.

I've got the full Foxtel package (including movies and HD).

I'll definitely have to look that up. Thanks, mate.

It was a deliberate, well aimed headbutt.

His head could have been anywhere else - same as any other normal tackle.

I think Hayne himself said he was playing overweight in 2013 (thanks, Sticky!) and that he lost weight but still felt sluggish in 2014.

He also admitted to being a lazy trainer at the Eels, and he hadn't done any proper weight training in years.

As for the helmets, well - it's being outlawed. It's already illegal to lead with the head.

I didn't know about being overweight in 2013. I remember the Tonga quotes. But Hayne said just after Origin I think that he was at 105kg. If he's at 105kg, playing an endurance sport, how does he expect to strip significant weight while picking up the weights for the first time in years?

Hayne wouldn't know what the f**k he's doing... but it will all make great viewing, on his reality tv show, Jarryd Does Dallas (or Detroit, or Seattle, or whoever will take him)!

Hayne's not the brightest spark in the world.
He's probably just babbling. He won't want to lose weight but change his body proportions basically.
His training regime will be completely different. No endurance. All sprint and power training.
He will be building muscle. He may actually put on weight.

Maybe, but I wouldn't jump to conclusions. If it was just about money he'd still be here I suspect (after all the NRL offered to kick in at the last minute). The 3rd party rationale would be a convenient story to circulate for some with political motives.

too little too late

On 2SM, Graeme Hughes mentioned that Hayne's departure could have something to the $300-400K third party sponsorship that he didnt get that was mentioned earlier this year

Graeme Hughes wouldn't have a f**king clue what's going on at the Eels.

So I've now heard from 3 seperate sources (other than on this forum) that there is more to The Plane departure than meets the eye...

I think you're spot on there.

Did I miss something whilst I was away for a week? Were the Storm stripped of their 2012 Premiership?

Apologies, I thought you were referring to that particular game of which Mannah is the only one left.
As you were.

I haven't heard anything specific (except for that Graham Hughes reference about not getting third party payments), but apparently the full story is not being told about his exact reasons for leaving.

It's disappointing on alot of levels if there is more to it.

That's almost as disappointing as the 'charity' shopping vouchers I bought last week, with which I was assured I could get twice the value in groceries. Then I found out I was actually entitled to 3, yes 3, gossip magazines worth a total of 20 bucks, a bottle of water and a couple of breakfast bars.
