Yeah doubt he will play for Parra again. Always thought that when he left he will probably not return. French rugby would be a option im sure.

If Hayne fails at NFL he will only come back to NRL for the Eels. He was loyal for 9 years. There is no reason why he wouldn't be again.

why? it's just a futures contract.

from the same link...
US sports site Bleacher Report explains futures contracts like this: ?For the most part, they?re used on players who weren?t quite good enough to justify an active roster spot this season but who teams think just might be worth an active roster spot next season.?

it's basically the lions trying to see if hayne can cut it and they can cut him anytime.

So Hayne walked on the Eels after round 1???
What's the difference between round 1, and in the middle of the off-season when no replacement of a similar quality is left on the market to sign? No difference.

I think he left the club in the lurch but you can't compare what he did and what Lyon did,
I can, and I did. If Hayne returns to NRL for anyone other than the Eels, he's effectively used his "NFL gap year" as a way of escaping the final year of his Eels contract - in much the same way as Lyon used Wee Waa and then St Helens as ways of sitting out the remainder of his Eels contract, before signing elsewhere.

It's not like we let Hoppa go before Hayne decided to leave like Lyon did after we lost Tonga. Hayne must have ran over your dog or never signed your autograph book or something.
Like I said, people will make excuses for the Golden Boy, despite his actions being the same as those of Lyon.... I don't dislike Hayne in any way, and wish him well in his future. But we need to tell it like it is and stop thinking he's keen to come back to the Eels, because his actions certainly don't show it.

I only started to post on here because of State of Origin and right at the heart of my NSW team was always Jarryd Hayne. In all the scouting I've done over the years to find future stars for NSW I always had Jarryd as the key figure and leader of the state. Him leaving is just too hard, I don't think I'm going to watch NRL any more and I may just skip the origin series. I think I'll also stop posting on this site, I just don't have the heart for it any more. So to everyone on here, take care and good luck. May we meet again.

Lol after 4 months of cutting myself I'm finally back and the first thing I want to say is FUUCK Jarryd Hayne.

I'm understand this.

But my mates don't, & they stir me mercilessly about Hayne lol.

Yeah but it's bad luck to kill an albatross.
one of my favourite quotes referencing one of the few poems I was made to read/analyze in high school that didn't bore me:

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: Way I remember it, albatross was a ship's good luck, 'til some idiot killed it.

What if he makes it and turns out to be good?

Well he can't be any worse than our PR atm. Absolute plodder. But our entire special team is.... special.

Honestly it's one of those things where a band becomes mainstream, & you say 'I like them before they were cool!'

I started supporting them when they were dogshit. 0-16. Worst NFL team in history. Coincidently, also in the worst capital city of the U.S.

I'm the only Detroit fan I know, always wearing their bling around. I just know if Hayne plays for us, I'm gonna see Lion 'HAYNE' jerseys. I hate bandwagon fans (Miami Heat....), so me getting lumped in with them would kill me.
