why? it's just a futures contract.f**k....
What's the difference between round 1, and in the middle of the off-season when no replacement of a similar quality is left on the market to sign? No difference. So Hayne walked on the Eels after round 1???
I can, and I did. If Hayne returns to NRL for anyone other than the Eels, he's effectively used his "NFL gap year" as a way of escaping the final year of his Eels contract - in much the same way as Lyon used Wee Waa and then St Helens as ways of sitting out the remainder of his Eels contract, before signing elsewhere.I think he left the club in the lurch but you can't compare what he did and what Lyon did,
Like I said, people will make excuses for the Golden Boy, despite his actions being the same as those of Lyon.... I don't dislike Hayne in any way, and wish him well in his future. But we need to tell it like it is and stop thinking he's keen to come back to the Eels, because his actions certainly don't show it.It's not like we let Hoppa go before Hayne decided to leave like Lyon did after we lost Tonga. Hayne must have ran over your dog or never signed your autograph book or something.

I only started to post on here because of State of Origin and right at the heart of my NSW team was always Jarryd Hayne. In all the scouting I've done over the years to find future stars for NSW I always had Jarryd as the key figure and leader of the state. Him leaving is just too hard, I don't think I'm going to watch NRL any more and I may just skip the origin series. I think I'll also stop posting on this site, I just don't have the heart for it any more. So to everyone on here, take care and good luck. May we meet again.
all the best, you will be missed.
He'll be at the dogs.
Yeah but it's bad luck to kill an albatross. :lol:I reckon Arthur is glad to be rid of him. They don't call him the albatross for nothing.

from the same link...
US sports site Bleacher Report explains futures contracts like this: ?For the most part, they?re used on players who weren?t quite good enough to justify an active roster spot this season but who teams think just might be worth an active roster spot next season.?

it's basically the lions trying to see if hayne can cut it and they can cut him anytime.
one of my favourite quotes referencing one of the few poems I was made to read/analyze in high school that didn't bore me:Yeah but it's bad luck to kill an albatross.
you need new mates.:sarcasm:I'm understand this.
But my mates don't, & they stir me mercilessly about Hayne lol.
If he comes back it won't be to Parra. Do you really want him back in the NRL?
I'm understand this.

What if he makes it and turns out to be good?
