Hayne with another cash injection to help him chase his dream - the pity is it probably means we'll still keep hearing about the contract dodger in the media every second day

You talk too much shit mate. If you worked at a corporation from 17-26 and saw it as the right time to persue something you wanted to do, then so be it. Just like if he tore his archilies last year and came back with no speed and we wanted to offload him. It is what it is, time to let go..:crazy::crazy:

 Still reeling 'em in... professional sport contracts and roster management are entirely different to holding down/filling an open-ended job at a corporation.

But no need to get upset about my two line post, "time to let go" ;-).

And a quote explaining further parallels between Hayne and $onny Bill Williams' contract walk outs, from the same article.

Smith gave himself the powers to act because he thought it was ridiculous that he should have to sit back and watch as players were lured to other codes. Make no mistake, he would have thrown money at Jarryd Hayne if it was a matter of money. In his case, however, Hayne was simply looking for a new challenge, in much the same way that Sonny Bill Williams was never going to be stopped from going back to rugby.

You have just contradicted yourself. The article you posted states that he actually is not like $BW. It wasn't about the money so what's your point? When SBW first left for Union it was all about money.

Tbh, I'd watch that documentary, and not just because it stars my favourite ever Eel - imagine what a lifelong league player would have to go through to become a possible NFL player. It would be interest in viewing IMO.

That quote talks about Williams going "back to Rugby", meaning his second stint in League.
He finished his contract and left for another code. Not the same as with Hayne.

If you want to draw parallels with Williams' first stint in League, well he skipped out in the middle of the night after one year into a 4 (or was it 5?) year contract because he thought he wasn't getting paid enough.
Hayne sought permission to leave from the final year of his contract and it was granted, leaving Hayne massively out o pocket.

I can't see how you can see these as the same thing.

That article was by Danny "I'm in love with SBW" Weidler. No surprise he tries to paint Williams in a positive light.

It must be very simple in Bart's world.

Every article he ever reads is absolute confirmation of his own previously held views, regardless of content.
