He had his helmet on & was right next to the head coach. Sent Hunter out though. Helmet on is a good sign.

Hayne plane has been grounded so far in the 3rd pre season game, could mean he's still burried on the depth chart and in trouble, or he's got a roster spot sewn up and they want to test other guys
I would lean heavily towards the later but still small cause for concern

Surely his showings in the first couple weeks would have done more to ensure a spot than count against him... those two games have made him the story of the pre season.

He did well to beat the linebacker and get in space for that pass. Only problem is his upright running into traffic. He's learning that lesson the hard way.

up against a good run stuffing defence and yards were hard from the backfield for all niner RB's

once again showed that he is dangerous in open field. good move on his reception to pick up an extra few yards. those sort of yards after the catch are the difference between 4th and short or 1st down and turn games.

still a good shot to be the specialist kick and punt returner. hard calls remain on whether the niners will carry 4 or 5 RBs with the decision to be made between Hunter or Hayne if it's cut to 4. they could still carry all 5.
