If we're all taking stabs in the dark re NBrown, my hypothetical take is that CLub management wanted him involved somehow, got him involved to do the review and a few other jobs after that, but a permanent role - perhaps within BA's NRL coaching set up - didn't open up as perhaps was anticipated.
I can't remember the order of appointments, but NBrown's slap-receiver Trent Barrett joined the NRL coaching set-up at some point in there too...
Next minute, Club management is making appointments for BA's replacement, and Barrett is unsuccessful. Club appoints Ryles who needs to put together a whole new NRL coaching team, and NBrown is back aboard and seemingly keen.
