Hypothetically, if Nrown and BA had a falling out and the club was taking the head NRL coach’s side over someone in a pathways gig, it absolutely benefits you for future employability reasons to say you’re leaving for family reasons rather than saying you got punted due to a conflict.

Moved away from Sydney where there is 8 potential employers, where he can use his only skills to get a highly paid job.

And then moved to the Gold Coast where there is only one potential employer....

All because of what? An argument over which teenagers should get picked in a rep side......

If we're all taking stabs in the dark re NBrown, my hypothetical take is that CLub management wanted him involved somehow, got him involved to do the review and a few other jobs after that, but a permanent role - perhaps within BA's NRL coaching set up - didn't open up as perhaps was anticipated.

I can't remember the order of appointments, but NBrown's slap-receiver Trent Barrett joined the NRL coaching set-up at some point in there too...

Next minute, Club management is making appointments for BA's replacement, and Barrett is unsuccessful. Club appoints Ryles who needs to put together a whole new NRL coaching team, and NBrown is back aboard and seemingly keen.
