Listening to Old Nose for a Face Laurie Daley on the Big Sports Breakfast this morning, he was at a function at the Goldy over the weekend with Nathan Brown.

He said they were chatting and Browny looked at him and very seriously stated 'You blokes (the media) in 4-5 years time will be saying that Rylesy is one of the best coaches we have seen for a while'

The way Loz described it was he was actually a bit taken aback at how confident he was, mentioned Browny was looking forward to coming back to Sydney and getting stuck in.

Hope he’s right but Peter Peters and Phil Gould are on record as saying similar things about Barrett.

But why did he leave in the first place? Such a mystery. Regardless, I'm glad he's back.

Aside from hoping he’s right, I’m wondering what he bases that opinion on?

If Arthur’s was hard to work with, nobody would’ve offered him a job. Coaching pays too much for clubs to ignore their reference checks.
Imagine being a f**kwit, hard to work with, but still able to fake it, to go from captain coach in the country to an NRL coach, over 20 or so years......which also includes being an NRL assistant at 3 clubs...oh yeah while also getting another head coaching role overseas within a few weeks of being sacked and also being the leading candidate for the next new NRL side... .........he must be good at hiding stuff.......

I've seen Daley in person. I was suprised how big he is. Quite an imposing and thick set human.

He said why he left; family reasons. Why is he now back? He was offered a job.
So when Browny goes on record as leaving due to family reasons, we take it as gospel. When Rylesy goes on record and says we’re one of the most resourced clubs in the comp then that’s just a media puff piece.

I can’t keep up deciphering what is real anymore
