The Titans seriously need to do this - either as their next home jersey or a heritage strip recalling the mid 90s "thick stripe" Seagulls kit.

I mean, they've done the thinner butcher-striped Seagulls design (in Titans colours) pretty much to death.. about time they recalled some other designs from the past incarnation.

Yep, even the Chargers jersey sometime.

Seagulls .

nah man over the seagulls shit. they've tried it like 5 times too.

there was 2 (or 3 if Gladiators) other teams, which deserve equal representation (even tho titans are actually not a continuation from 88-97) and yea chargers were most successful. would love a chargers Vee :)

I still think they should do a SQLD Crushers heritage strip to draw links to that group too.

The GC might not have any real links to the Crushers, but its no more or less than they have with the other GC teams.

in all of these heritage jumpers, the Titans are creating a "fake" history. The difference is that, instead of linking themselves to a franchise characterised by chaos, failure and short-term/quick-fix solutions, they link themselves to a good underdog story.

"A team with so much potential, destroyed by the corporate Broncos at the expense of the true fans of the game." I think there are a lot more positive angles to play with there...

That's actually not bad. Maybe with Navy & Yellow in the V, as Saint Doc says.. but you may be onto something there.

It's a traditional rugby league design feature, done in a way that no other team is doing right now (although the Rabbitohs & Roosters have briefly tried it in the past) - and a nod to the most successful incarnation of the original Gold Coast club.

As an aside, I have a feeling that if it wasn't for superleague & their messed-up 'arty' influence on designs.., striped Vs like that may have been *the* trend in first grade jerseys in the late 1990s

Should Melbourne do a Perth Reds heritage jersey?
