Our shirts seem incredibly expensive compare to English ones? You would think being closer to China the shipping costs would be less!

Steve Folkes was just interviewed on Fox Sports News.

He said Nike has come up with a new fabric (will be much tighter or something) and that the jersey design will be the same.

He also said instead of a v neck it will be a round neck? So something like the Storm and Broncos maybe?

And said the design of the shorts has changed a bit.

''Chamois type material in the arse of the shorts so they can dry their hands.''

He kept a dead straight face while saying it too.

I'm wondering how long it will be before we see sleeves done away with altogether? This whole 'Oh we need t-shirts so the players are harder to grab' is a load of bulls**t started by the Broncos merchandising commitee 5 years ago as an excuse to change jerseys yet again. I've yet to see a team lose a game because they wore cotton jerseys or collars. Going by that logic, Penrith should've lost the 2003 Grand Final to Easts. :sarcasm:

Well, idiot, the reason why clubs like the Broncos are leading the field is because they take the initiative and create jerseys which attempt to boost the team's performance on the field. Moreso, the club realise that the fans may in fact want to purchase and wear the same jerseys - so they sell them in the 'game mode' design. If ideas such as the removal of collars and the inclusion of new fabrics were such terrible ideas - why are other clubs now copying such innovations?

You can place the blame for the end of 'true jerseys' at the hand of the Broncos if you want, but the fact is they are trying to improve the team's on field performances (even if that improvement is only very minor). The Broncos are in the business of winning RL matches, not making foreign fans such as yourself content in your 'comfortable' fabrics and jersey deisgns. Furthermore, if the designs were such an injustice to RL, no other team would 'lift' the idea. But they have, so what does that tell you?

The Storm website doesn't have any new strip yet, so I don't think they all come out before Christmas.

I've been making a point of drivin by rugby fever on te way to work most mornings and theres nonew jersey bt they do have all the new training gear and polos. VERY nice. Glad Reebok can make decent stuff!

Cant see Storm getting a "new" jersey TBH...maybe one with the 10 year logo bt nothing too radical.

I agree with Knightmare. It's more to do with merchandising, though of course a team would not wear a detrimental-to-playing outfiit for the sake of a few bucks.

The less our rugby league players look like twinkie soccer players, the better.

Anyway, all I can think about is George Costanza getting the New York Yankees to wear cotton...

f*** i hate the skin tight jerseys, they look terrible...I do think however, Patten will get away more often than he currently does...he seems to always be pulled down by his jersey when he makes a half break.

Sorry if this has been posted already, but the Warriors appear to have made some minor changes for their 2007 jersey (as modelled by WWE star David Batista):

Here's the 2006 version for comparison.

I like the look of that Warriors jersey - It's clean and 'basic'. Some jersey designers have a problem whereby they feel the need to fill every area of the jersey with 'something', and it just becomes a mess (West Tigers)
