John Morris cost us 30 points today

Without doubt the most useless piece of sh*t player we have ever had.

First few minutes gets given the ball by Farah with the line wide open, can't catch it and knocks it forward to Lawrence.

Few minutes later drops another pass to give Manly the ball, they score from that set.

Then throws a sh*t pass to Collis who drops it to the set that gives Stewart his first try.

Misses the tackle on Stewart for his second try.

Then late in the half drops the ball after a Farah break.

This guy is a cancer, I can't believe he never gets injured. I've never wished an injury on a player however I must admit I would be stoked if he went down.

It made me sick when Rabs was wrapping him. He is a half!!! His job is to set plays up! I don't care how hard he tries, the bloke is f*cking sh*t!

Maybe your studying to hard on the one player??
My thoughts exactly.

Morris is hardly our worst player, and is hardly the cause of our poor start to the season.

In fact, without Morris, I reckon we have another 30 points scored against us.

Without a doubt that was Morris's worst game for us. He has had some shockers before but that takes the cake. We need to f*ck him off ASAP!!!

He`s simply not a halve, he somehow managed to play reasonably effective in the halves at his previous clubs, but he`s simply not the leader that we require. I`d prefer to be without him myself, no idea why he couldn`t have been sent to the UK instead of Liam Fulton and it would`ve been nice if we sent Dene Halatau with him, but since we`re stuck with him (Morris) for this season, I reckon we could get some value out of him as a lock as long as he`s told not to pass or kick the football unless he`s 110% certain something is on. He`s very committed and if he just ran hard off the ball players and tackled his backside off, I reckon he could be of some use at lock ?

I agree with using him at lock. Farah is an 80 minute player so he can't play hooker. He is simply not a halves arsehole.

Fulton should have been kept and played at five-eighth. Instead we are stuck with one-dimensional spastics like Payne and Halatau. Payne could not dent a wet paper bag in attack and Halatau could not pass go in monopoly and is the most one-dimensional player in the NRL.

Fulton may have been ineffective in attack in the forwards, but he is a great defender and has a football brain. He is actually playing pivot now in the UK. Instead we are stuck with Morris who does not have a creative bone in his body.

I dunno. Short memory at work perhaps. Some shockers from last year take some beating. Overall I will cut him some slack on this one, for jagging a try (which was pretty much all Payten anyway), and for tackling his arse off. Trouble is, he is supposed to be a Halfback (or now a 5/8, whatever). It's a crying shame that someone who should be a real asset in a team is being paraded like a dancing monkey, out of position. Which may be as much his fault as Sheens'. Morris should be a bench utility. Used to spell either forwards or backs, and a defensive specialist. Just go out and tackle everything that moves. Don't try anything important, unless one of the key positions is injured during the match. He's actually a pretty useful player, that would have been highly valued back in the 1970's, when there was a wider gulf between forwards and backs. But Sheens will never settle for such a thing, and so it will continue.

Guys there is no point discussing it or venting about it.

I used up all my anger about Morris in the halves in 2007. Used up all my hoping and praying that Sheens would use someone else or BUY A HALF.

Its 3 years in now, and he is still there. Its laughable and it is beyond retrieve. I can't be bothered getting angry. Sheens deserves these heavy defeats because he can't put his ego away and make some changes.

I don't blame Morris, I blame Tim Sheens. It is not Morris's fault he is made to look uncordinated most weekends. He could of been a good utilty 14 for a few seasons now and he would all appreciate his efforts and his sustained run of fitness.

You see what Sheens is doing to this club. We are venting our frustrations out on the players who having a go..and Morris is having a go, but doesn't cut it.....It's &$^#&* Sheens that keeps putting him there. Don't hate the player...hate the coach.

Fully agree- I dont have a problem with Morris per se- where I have the problem with is where Teflon plays him, what he was recruited as (a half) and the continued intrasigence of Teflon to see a failed idea. As much as some others disagree I'd have no problem if WT offered Morris a new contract on the understanding it was as a utility player, interchange "specialist" (not a 1/2) and probably less $$$ (not that I know what he is on now).

Considering he was brought in to fill Prince's gap, I'd say he's on around 300-350k a year.
Prince was on $220 to $230k,and that it what Morris is on.
Like neveryone said,if he wasn't allowed in the halves he would be a good player for us.
