Not quite sure how you come to this conclusion. Given they've got a new halves pairing with an orgin and international alongside a rookie half that got them to the final, I'd say they haven't skipped a beat. I'd say this part of the prediction was spot on.

184 cm and 93 kg , IMO to small for a winger in the game today.

Same height as josh addo-Carr , and heavier. His size is fine if he can run the length of the field to score or save a try like Carr can...
Asking about his pace is more relevant here given our current lack of speed in the backline...

For the record, was just having a quick peruse through the Broncos forum on this. They're all pretty pissed to see him go, most seem to rate him highly. A lot of comments on his speed and how he's taken his game to the next level this year.

AJ Brimson is the fullback we need. He is still off contract, and only one year in NRL he could be signed easily with a decent offer. I reckon a million for 3 years would get him. Titans couldn't match an offer like that. This kid has Tedesco written all over him, and still only 19 years old. His attack and defence power shits all over Duftys.

Mate I get sick of the Mary bashing too, but he has to go. He can't even select the best team that he has at his disposal. He refuses to drop players. He is unimaginative. He has had far too long for too little result. Many other coaches have been sacked who have even won grand finals or taken their teams to grand finals.

Why do you think that Mary should continue as our coach?

These days its essential that the back three all have size, speed and physicality. They get the team moving forward and must be able to take meters from kicks, twenty meter taps and hit outs to give the forwards a rest. Last night Ferguson, Tupou and Tedesco got the roosters sets starting in great field position.

This is what we need more than the flashy stuff from our back three. Based on this I can understand looking at Ravalawa but not both him and Pearson. I would like to see a top flight winger (like Oates, Rapana) and a big fast physical fullback (Cotrick perhaps) and another big young prop (Hetherington maybe) who has already been blooded in first grade or move Frizzell to the front row and look at someone like Pangai Jr or Kamikamica to replace him in the second row.

Very good post. The only thing that I am not sure about is Cotric at fullback. Canberra gave him a run there late in the season. I thought it was a good idea at the time an quickly put him in my Supercoach team. It didn't seem to work out for him at fullback. He ended up being a very poor supercoach trade too. I think he can become a really good centre and even push for NSW. I would love us to have him at centre.

I like the look of Brimson too. I thought he is a 5/8. I know that they played him at fullback at the end of the year. I think he will develop into a top line 5/8 or fullback.

Yes I also really like AJ Brimson and would love top get him and Jai Arrow as well.

Arrow is a very good player, but I don't see where we would fit him in?

So what are we waiting for? Sign Brimson and put him on the right wing first up; Lomax will feed him plenty of ball to do his stuff. If Dufty has not sorted out his problems, then send him bak to ISP.

Arrow is a quality prop, young and hard running, he is just the player we need to complete our prop rotation.

So get it done Millward, quickly before others grab these guys.

I don't see Arrow as a prop. I see him as a lock. I know he has played prop, he may have even played prop for Qld this year, but I see him as a lock and a very good one at that. He would probably shine in a good team.

OK OK your first point is false, your second point is false.. No imagination! Do you actually believe that? He's uses is own philosophy's and is probably the only coach that does not copy trends.. The term "power game" i first herd from marys mouth.. I now regularly hear it being used.. And Look at how dull we were before mary. No attack, boring and a team heading in the wrong direction, Mary has slowly and steadily built the team we now currently have, who are competitive, great to watch and are now a legitimate premiership threat ( soon we will be a premiership force eg storm, 90s broncos). And Marys strongest attribute and the reason we will soon be a force is the culture he is building. And did you know it took Wayne Bennett 5 years to win a his first comp with the broncos? Yes five years, with luxuries of being a one team city( state ) and talent depth at his disposal that mary can only dream off.. People wanting him gone really have no idea about coaching. It sounds like you have been drawn in to thinking that Mary is a rubbish coach by some of the rubbish you have read on this forum?

I actually think it was in the Storms best interest that he did leave. It gave them the opportunity to start building a new halves combination which would have been required from next year anyway. I think it worked in their favour. They may have had a better season all round but at what long term cost? Sounds like the Cronk/Smith feud may have contributed heavily to the split anyway so it probably wasn't an option.
