I think Hodgson knows more about rugby league than you or your friends.
Yep, he knows a lot, but doesn’t provide much onfield these days. Didn’t the side look quicker and crisper when Hands came on, and I think we scored 3 tries as he sped up the ruck. Hands moves outside strict middle lines to support the edge defenders too.

He offers little outside perhaps a limited space in the middle, can’t cover anything wider, doesn’t run and appears slow inpassing and seems to not be able to hit the support crisply at the right receiving level. Made no sense to play him unchanged for the first 55 minutes, expecting him to come good is not working and maybe it’s time to accept that and limit his minutes.

He may know but he can't do much anymore.
The criticism was about his decision making, specifically his choice to run when he saw the pass wasn't on. lack of movement/support from our middles on that play summed up the game. Oh it's a shift play? Time to take a breather and watch.

I just saw the Titans' big forwards fatigued late in the second half, which is one reason we try to control the ball.

He would make more tackles per minute if his defensive effort was as good as you claim.

Suggest you go and talk to some experienced coaches, they can see the faults and make sensible comments without spinning it for its own sake. Hodgson is on borrowed time, shouldn’t really be starting and that’s a fact, the week he didn’t get on the field we played well and with some speed.

Hodgson appears a genuine good guy, but he knows that his time is up, and so should the selectors and limit his minutes. You would be happy that he gets time on the field, and most others would be more than happy to lessen his contribution.

I'd be happy if he called it quits. He's horrible.

It kept the defence honest. It doesn't matter how slow and weak you are if they don't turn up. Remember he scored a 40 metre try against Manly and set up Junior Paulo against the Storm. Smart players need support runners.

You know how fans of a club sometimes chip in to top up a contract (TPA) - or maybe that's done in other codes/countries...

But could Parra fans maybe all chip in for a payment that would help Hodgson retire early/before the end of the season?
The Crowd were booing Eels players when they were announced when Hodgson was announced Eels fans joined in lol.

i have spoken to about five different friends who are all footy fans (from different walks of life) who all picked up that Hodgson's run destroyed that set.

But I wouldn't expect you to get it - you have to know something about the actual game to pick that up.
That’s almost like a peer reviewed rugba leeg assessment, coach. Almost.

TBH I get that the old grey horse Hodgson will probably not go around again next year and more than likely make a valuable contribution in the staff if he wants to hang around, but he’s all we have to support a rookie right now. All these pages of merkins wishing him to retire NOW have no realistic plan B and certainly no plan B that presents itself with better outcomes than what we have right now.

Sometimes we just have to suck it up and go with what we have and stop complaining.

It would be nice if the coach and his staff ever had a plan B ffs, plenty called out Hodgson was old and past it, the new rules means that game has totally passed him by Let alone his injury record. But no we were just told to shut up and stop whinging, now that we were proven right we should just suck it up again and stop whinging lol.
