I was actually excited to sign Hodgson - despite his age, and injury woes, he is a quality player, and I was keen to see what he'd bring to the table.

He hasn't turned out too well, unfortunately (though, perhaps, not surprisingly).

We are now at round 12 - clearly, the Hodgson experiment is not working.

Buy because of our lack of foresight, our only hooker options are:

Hodgson
Hands
Rein
Arthur
Yates

Yates isn't playing well, and Rein isn't much better than Hodgson.

Hands shouldn't play big minutes.

Arthur is more of a makeshift hooker at this stage.

We are basically boned, because the recruitment team stuffed up royally.

He was injured after we signed him. It certainly wasn't inevitable that he would pick up a massive injury last year. He's only five months older than Ben Hunt ffs.

I cant believe we would purposely risk this season and next signing an unknown quantity being Hodgson post injurys and no other 9 coverage as a stop gap in preparation for young Arthur. Surely that couldnt happen. Thankfully, out of an act of desperation, Hands has shown some form and been re signed accordingly. Watching the game V The Tits from behind the posts it was incredible how crisp the service from dummy half became after Hands replaced Hodgo.

We looked smoother once Hands came on, Hodgson’s service was slow and dreadful. He was totally outplayed by a total plodder like Randall.

What rot! A massive majority of rugby league experts, critics and fans knew that signing Hodgson was fraught with danger at the very least!

A great deal of them knew it was a rubbish signing!

the injury in March 2022 merely sealed those opinions and yet we still had plenty of time after that to pursue a back up.

let’s not pretend Brendan Hands emergence was planned by BA - it was thrust upon him by necessity. And yet, despite being kissed on the dick with such a happy accident, he is still sticking with Hodgson as his main hooker, even in games where we look atrocious with old man river at dummy half!

but we all know your position….Hodgson is the right option until BA says otherwise and no one else could possibly know any better.
