You guys who are having a whinge about Reynolds and Hokko not getting involved or making wrong decisions/bad passes really don't know anything about RL aye.

It was clearly not a night for the halves/hookers in attack! The 10 metres was non-existent, the play the balls were so slow and NONE of the backs had any room because of it. Thurston and DCE had the same issues as Reynolds and Hokko EXCEPT when the big plays needed to be done, Hokko (Try) and Reynolds (Try saver) produced!!

Hokko is the best defending half back in the NRL... Gillette tried first to run at him (No success) then Thaiday tried (No success)... This is where he puts Pearce to shame; also Pearce just doesn't understand in Origin, you NEVER over play your hand... He also NEVER stood up when needed!

Bulldogs 2... QLD 0 :D

I wish Hokko and Reynolds will play for the Dogs instead of NSW... It's no coincidence when Origin started and those two have been missing or played with an obvious Origin hangover we've lost 3 games, along with missing Josh Morris (Best defensive centre in the NRL)! Defence wins the big games!!!!

I agree Reynolds had a shocker, but he did save a try and managed to put Thurston right off his game.

The skinny 10 and in particular slow play the balls did not let either side play.

Overall probably a net negative for NSW in this game and about break even for the series overall so far.

But he should be better for the run and hopefully will do better next time.

You don't change a winning side, he deserves to pay game 3 and at this stage be the favorite for selection for game 1 next year.

All the Dogs halves really did was compete and do their job in defense, not outstanding, but far better than last years halves.

I think its time for bird to go. He's served NSW well but both Gallen and Farah were fine in game 1 but when bird kept holding the ball in the middle of a movement to got out to Hayne he just hogged it and crabbed across field and for some reason Farah took too many dummy half runs compared to game 1. Some very negative play by those 3 last night. Thought Hoffman was man of the match for me

They would take the tap in every club game in the same situation,so it becomes instinctive thing to do.As for Gallen,no one can doubt his courage, but gee he over plays his hand.Nsw had enough ball to blow the Reds away but the likes of Gallen and Farah just strangled the life out of the attack. One can only think they had no confidence in their outside backs
Reynolds' passes in the second half were rubbish, so I think Farah's instinct kicked in and he took over ball playing duties.

Gallen needs to learn how to run as a decoy, because when he does, there will be holes in the defensive lines everywhere, as he attracts at least 2-3 defenders everytime.

Instead he gets given the ball everytime. You then rely on him getting an offload away to do effectively the same thing he could achieve by running as a decoy.

Bird was first and second receiver far too often. You can put that down to the halves not being positioned too well. Reynolds was abysmally slow at getting Hayne the ball. But gee his defence improved immensely.

Still not sold on Beau Scott's place in the side.
