And the home of Andrew Bolt. Chief Cheerleader of the mob arguing unless people are waving swastikas and marching you to concentration camps, it's not racism. The Telegraph is mostly read by bogan mouthbreathers so that's unsurprising.
I think every western country has this trend. Before the internet people had racist thoughts but they were forced to keep them to themselves and didn't have an anonymous outlet where they could easily find people just like them and hold onto these thoughts day in and day out for a long time. The only media was 3 tv channels that were careful with political correctness.I am an immigrant from England and I am white and personally I find Australia to be far less racist than England
Whenever I go home I get all manner of people desperate to tell me how shit England is because of the immigrants and how I was lucky to move to Australia.
I never come across this same attitude in Australia
However a friend of mine, a muslim female who lived in Oldham in the UK for many years has the opposite experience. She rarely comes across racist attitudes in the UK, but experiences open racism on a frequent basis here in Australia.
I don't think it's easy to say who is right. But I will say that the UK is far more racist in my experience now than it was 20 years ago
Now with the internet they find echo chambers where their extreme thoughts are validated by other idiots.
