So just to clarify: Adam Goodes is a dickhead because he won't "suck it up" and cop the racist abuse on the chin?

And because he called Australia Day, 'Invasion Day'? Gee now why would any Aboriginal rename it that... it wouldn't have something to do with the 200 odd years of ensuing rape, murder and pillaging of their people and culture, would it?

The only people that need to 'suck it up' are the AFL fans who need to admit that racism has, and continues to be - albeit to a lesser degree - an issue in their sport.

So instead of booing Adam Goodes for daring to open the lid on the ugly issue of racism - an issue they want to turn a blind eye to - maybe they could show some class and cheer him the next time he plays.

Thankfully Rugby League fans are more evolved than our AFL counterparts and I think we have Artie Beetson to thank for that.

By calling out someone so young shows that racism is still alive and kicking in this country, it's almost a part of our culture.
