The Game Judiciary & Match Review charges - 2022 season

I like it. Not too far off with what I wanted last year.

I wonder how those suspended in the trials are feeling though. They probably should retroactively change the 2022 charges to follow this new model.

I mean, they couldn't have done this before the day of the first game of the season?

The simplicity is fine, until you realise the issue was with the gradings given by the MRC. Until they give a definitive breakdown of what a grade 1 is for an offence, etc. the charges will remain inconsistent.

That doesn't surprise me that you like it, your team has one of the dirtiest thugs in the NRL

Under this new arrangement, if Latrell were to go out and leave someone else in a hospital bed he'd only cop 2 weeks for it

Reading not your strong suit? It would have been 4 weeks with an early guilty plea.

So after Rapana was denied the ability to use the All Stars match as part of his suspension, the NRL changes that rule.

Then, Rapana gets charged with a grade 1 shoulder charge in that match, resulting in suspension - and the NRL then changes that rule too and make it a fine instead.

They sure know how to f**k us, and in particular, Rapana.

Clearly the NRL are not serious about eradicating the cannonball tackle. Only a fine for that Storm bloke and no charge at all for Lindsay Collins.

Looks like the cannonball is back, and NRL-sanctioned to boot.

Don't worry, when one of your mob does it they will get a hefty suspension.

Ridiculous.

Example; Dangerous Throw. Grade 1 = $1500, Grade 2 = 3 weeks. Yet we don't have clear guidelines as to where Grade 1 ends and Grade 2 begins.

Guarantee that within the first 8 weeks we have (for example) Teddy get a grade 1 for something that looks exactly like one that earns (say) Brian Kelly a Grade 2.

No charge for Jayden Campbell for sliding in with the knees, breaking Sean Russell's ribs and puncturing his lung.

Imagine Latrell did that....

Your boy has gotten away with plenty in the last few years.

I do agree that Campbell should have copped a charge, I dont think there was intent, but it was still careless.

Latrell got charged for sliding in with the knees last year on Luke Garner... he clipped him on the ankles!

He got away with kicking him in the face and a high shot iirc. Until he gets rid of the chip on his shoulder he will be a liability.

It's funny the blow up over a 50/50 foot in the ruck "robbing" the Titans but this has been a big nothing? Dylan Brown got what, four weeks with a clean record?

Both careless. Very similar incidents, very similar injuries...Brown probably hit harder and deserved a week more or so but plenty of similarity. They also missed Brown's originally

I suppose the big differences happened with the coaches behaviour off the field.
