This is supposed to be sport and sport should be fair. The look on Hasler's face when talking about the tripping incident and saying it was not a trip makes it look like a huge conspiracy. I am sure McGregor is fuming over this. Too bad we can't afford the $10 000 fine.
They seem to be the NRL 's untouchables , and have been for a number of years now .
Of course some from other Clubs may see this as nothing more than sour grapes , but that is not the case here . It is hard enough competing against that huge Bulldog forward pack , let alone getting over the top of them .( something that I believe our pack did in last years Semi and once again on Friday night )
We then had to watch the Master Grub , once again resort to illegal tactics , to prevent Joel Thompson from scoring what would had been a well deserved try .
I am not suggesting that there is any collusion between Patten and the Bulldogs , but
HELL , the bloke has more Tele sets in front of him then we have here in the whole town of Kandos !!!

The sad thing is either Mary or Doust have not come out and said he its a crap decision we will contest it.

Every man and his dog have said its a shit call yet not a peep and why is that simple they just don't care.

The Dragons are the NRL's new bitch boy and will just go along with anything they say or do without a fight.

It is utterly pathetic and reeks of cowardness.

Also what must Tyson be thinking.

He probably didn't even realise he had touched the ref at the time.

Yet the club has not come out and actually backed him in anyway.

You have to ask how can any player have respect for a club that has a board of fools and a coach who isn't just arrogant but a drink driver.

I sure as hell know I would be happy to move on.

Confirmed we are fighting the Friz charge as per Dragons site.

Still a pretty weak response by the club.
They should be saying more.
They should be highlighting the inconsistencies getting on the front foot and speak to the media.
They should also talk to the ref.
I'm sure he will say it was incidental contact.
Are they worried that they will be asked further questions they don't want to answer.

Agree with previous posts. The decision to fight it should've been made public 10 seconds after the charge sheet came out. Better late than never.

The judiciary should be preparing the reasons to dismiss now but the cynic in me thinks they'll be taking the zero tolerance and no discretion approach.

The AFL has a zero tolerance policy to touching umpires, but in that game it's easier to avoid contact.

We have refs in the defensive line and around the play where contact is much more likely. Zero tolerance to any contact won't work.

Zero tolerance to INAPPROPRIATE contact however will work.

And so they should. for too long now the club just sits back & cops it sweet.I'll be surprised if he's suspended.

I wouldn't be surprised if the charge is upheld to be honest.
I agree he shouldn't be (suspended) and I hope I'm wrong.
Bit negative I know but it's the clout we have at the moment.

I actually like Wes. His performance in Mad Max: The Road Warrior was awesome. The real problem here was two referees and the bunker and the TV commentary all missed it or refused to replay it and consequently no penalty try and no 10 minutes in the bin when the Dragons were clearly on top.

He looks a real charmer , let's suit him up in a Dragons Jersey , and put him in at prop .
He would scare the day lights out of the opposition !

Tripping was always looked at as the biggest dog act and repeat offenders were generally dealt with behind the bexley oval grandstand .

Tripping is coming more common in today's game, very sad

You are right there . I wouldn't know about the - behind the Bexley grandstand - business ,
however that sounds the appropriate place to deal with scum like Reynolds .

He has gotten away with too many cheap shots in the past .
The excuse is always the same from Des - " he is just over enthusiastic "

Of all the players going around today , he would be the one that deserves some form of long term penalty from the Judiciary , as a serial offender .

Make a example of him , and perhaps some of the other grubs going around in today's
game , will think twice before offending themselves .
