K Locke ------> Salford

If you made a list of players that have been off for one reason or another it's little wonder we have been rubbish for a couple of years in this competition.

Wiki has his list this is mine.

Lockes attitude has lots to be desired , a lead candidate with Johnson in why game plans weren't adhered to.

Packer was a bully and bad influence.

Johnson was full of himself some of his comments to the media in the past about Halves and coaches not always agreeing were straight out amateur and none of the good players serve their coach up like that.

Hurrell has an appalling attitude to training and he loves the camera too much.

Laumape is quick to have a sook when things aren't going his way ( there were reports of him having a look around at the Waikato chiefs set up after Hurrells flirtation with Union.....another poster claimed Ngani was having a sook about Alwood ).

Laumape decided to spend the off season on the piss.

Dane Nielson has serious issues off the field can't go into what those.

Nathan Friend had the wrong mindset about sharing his Hooking minutes , I get that he is battling to keep his Family looked after and the one year contracts aren't very nice , but the first time the Coach tried to pull Friend from the field he was refusing ( can't remember if it was Elliot or Maca who said that...pretty sure it was Elliot ).

Ben Matulino was one of Packers Boys...when they Flicked Packer Matulino tweeted about Rats and Sinking ships.....somehow we were supposed to believe that wasn't a reference to the Warriors during that sensitive time.

The Lousi Alumni tweeted about Sam Tomkins having signed / them or Gub I forget which exactly....it was a shared Joke in any case ( read thick as thieves ) that prank was at the height of the tense negotiations with Wigan which even though worst kept secret in the NRL came about due to legal contractual ' no open negotiation ' clauses in Tomkins contract.

Manu in his own way was the model of the wrong reaction after making screw ups on the field......fans do not want to see the grinning high fiving carry ons of these guys.....no one likes that stuff....so glad the Warriors have started knocking off the ' that's ok he will run hard in the next set ' weak mindset.

Feleti Martel came back from preseason two stone overweight. You have to do some serious pigging out to achieve that. Well done keep it up one day you might make the blues...what a freeloader.....him Hurrell and Laumape are campaign wreckers.

Tomkins dropping the ball and being in the wrong place to defend Low Kicks. What's wrong with this guy..? he's being paid Millions.......almost as much as Shaun Johnsons upgrade and he's deliberately not concentrating out there.....the Raiders need a Fullback.....I hope he goes there.....

Andrew Mcfadden probably ruined my dream of having a tier one coach....like Sheens.....Cappy probably stuck the Knives in Elliot too. Bennett might have come here had the Warriors not jumped the gun and given a guy who can't get over the top of a beaten up Souths team when they're about to Whither and die....as Gregan said to Wilson " Four More Years ! "

Finally.......wots all this Tosh about this Jim Doyle ?
Who the bleep is Jim Doyle ? wots he ever done for the Warriors ?

Dude sounds like a foreigner when he talks........

( half of that list is pure tongue in cheek , taking the mickey)

Got issue on the field too - can't catch, can't beat a man, in fact can barely put one foot in front of the other!

Whats the pathway to under 20's team? Schoolboy league then straight into the Warriors U20? Maybe the issue is these boys are getting things good straight away rather than the old way where they had to play for a club and try and make a name for themselves so the Warriors noticed them? Not sure what I am saying but I wonder if the under 20s is a double edged sword in that some of these boys aren't really learning much about becoming men and so some of them bring the wrong values to the first grade team when they get promoted...
And yes I am aware a few have had bleak backgrounds growing up so its not all been a walk in the park. The u20s is great for developing players but how is it for developing in other more important areas? What is the guidance like when they are not playing on the field?

Dumping Packer was a smart move and started paying dividends pretty quickly (Elliott and co made a good move) & coincided with the recruiting of Tomkins as a professional.
Johnson has really appeared to have embraced the new culture, hopefully Hurrell is next to do so.
Not sure if Locke not being around has helped a few guys or they've just realised there's no pissimg around now but from the outside looking in I feel more confident in the future than I have in a long time

Locke needs to be careful here with his attitude to the Warriors, he's no certainty for a work permit in the UK. He should get one but it's not in the bag yet.

must be bye week,,,

 - excellent, yes, this and the Tomkins thread illustrate that very clearly (and I have bought into it)

Locke is a dick, and Tomkins is making dumb errors... things must be comparatively good at Warriors HG given our discussions

He was named on the starting wing and then suddenly vulcanized for Fusitua.
I think that speaks volumes in itself unless he was injured.

Kevin didn't go to training aye.

That's the word on the street.

That's what kicked this whole early release thing off.

No place for him in the Vulcans after that happened.

Meh.. Good on him going back to local footy.

It's now obvious that he's leaving... So if he's willing to go back to park football then good on him.

If he wants to risk his big money deal to Salford then that's up to him.

I don't really care about him playing club footy.

It's the distraction of it all. We know he doesn't figure into the club's plans and that the relationship is strained. He's going. Let him go.

Distraction for who???

He's not part of the playing group anymore... And obviously by the lack of communication he probably packed up his shit and moved out of the club HQ already.

It's a pretty sad way to end his relationship with the club... But he's a big boy now... He can deal with the consequences of his actions.

Just for the record... I'm not criticising the Warriors here or trying to stick up for Locke... What Locke is doing is unprofessional... And ironically, considering one of Tomkins best attributes is his level of professionalism... Locke's actions are showing that the Warriors made the right decision.
