No worries. I know we're supposed to put links to stuff like this but it's pretty difficult with the Newy paper as they don't have much of the paper online.daveserc said:Sorry if I came across the wrong way - I didn't doubt you but was shocked by the news (still am). Hoping that this is just to give him a kick up the tail, as letting him go and keeping the likes of White and Royal would be lunacy.
To put it in perspective even more, I'd be nearly as shattered if we let Abes go
Question: is the ever famous Big Timmy a prop or a 2nd rower?
Still needs to be sourced. Author, date and publication is enough.antonius said:No worries. I know we're supposed to put links to stuff like this but it's pretty difficult with the Newy paper as they don't have much of the paper online.
I think he has been in a comfort zone since he was 16.Burwood said:Does anybody really think that Snowden is stuck in a comfort zone? The guy is 20, has only played about half a dozen games this season, the club has been very active with recruitments and he has a great opportunity to push for a spot as a regular in the top 17 next year with the losses of Perry and Woolnough. Those four reasons alone should be more than enough to ensure that he doesn't rest on his laurels.

All through the juniors he bludged through games till a big game came up and then would be the standout MOTM.
He was the best player in our Ball GF win and one of the best in our Flegg GF loss - he was the best for NSW in several game - he was the best for Aus in 2 out of three of his games. His first ever game of Flegg he came up against an unbeaten Bulldogs side featuring SBW and he handed them and him a beating.
He did all those things to prove he was the closest thing to Adrian Morley you will see in red and blue - but 4 out of 5 games he played in the juniors were rubbish or he just pulled his weight (mind you, if we were 4 points behind with 5 minutes to go Snowy would click into gear and win us the game).
Basically - the big guy has bludged his way through the juniors.
If he went to Melbourne and put in 6 months of hard work he could play for Australia next year.
Maybe they see another Josh Perry and are trying to get him motivated rather than a career of rut...Burwood said:Does anybody really think that Snowden is stuck in a comfort zone? The article in the paper says something like 'there was pressure to sign him when his contract was negotiated and he is free to look for better money if he can find it'.Jono078 said:Well we havnt released him yet have we? We've just told him he can go look for another club if he wishes ?
I am starting to think it could just be a plan by Smith to try and get him to wake up and maybe work harder?
