Wrong. He only comes up when people talk about the board refusing to sack Kearney because that would mean admitting it was a mistake to sack Anderson.

They are two separate decisions. Even if they were wrong to sign Kearney, it doesn't mean they were wrong to sack Anderson. It just means they should have replaced him with someone else.

Thanks Staggs, but I just try to stick thread by thread and reply to quotes or questions of me. If either of those guys brings DA up in repsonse to me, I will give them the same answer. But here I was reply to Poopoo's diversion.

If you've coached for as long as DA has both here, NZ and in the UK, you're not exactly crying out for money, or worrying if you have a year earning "only" $100K...

It doesn't take much to get elected to Boards or in politics since they're both public votes rather than appointments on merit - look at Pauline Hanson as but one example of the credibility of simply holding a position. If a guy's earned say $400+K for three years from us, plus 4 years at St Helens (at probably higher $ per year, back when the exchange rate for pounds was healthier), not counting what he got for his time at NZ Warriors, then (unless he's got an expensive crack habit) he wouldn't be worried about only earning $100K in a media job - not as much as Poopoo is pissing and moaning about it being some sort of "logical" judgement factor. Ask Poopoo what he KNOWS, agenda-boy!

The biggest flaw in bart's story is how he knows Daniel Anderson only got into coaching for the money.

Now he's all cashed up he's only interested in coaching schoolboys and exhibition games.

I actually think the "mistake" most people refer to is signing a rookie coach and building him up like a world beater purely cos of where he worked previously. Whether its a mistake or not is up for discussion tho - and don't we discuss it! :lol:


re: Ando and his situation ... don't forget he got some sort of payout for his last year, so he got paid coaching money and media money ontop all last year ... and I'm willing to bet he got paid most his contract from parra by agreeing to not talk about it.

Ah that's right. The only reason he's not coaching is because he doesn't feel like it.

You don't knowwhy he's not currently coaching first grade. So don't pretend you do.
