I was young and naive when I wrote that. But well done for bringing it up.

Kearney has proved he's not a good coach but it is still too early to say he is a shit one. If this year has proven anything it is that Hagan and Anderson weren't so bad after all. We obviously have a group of players who undermine any coach that tries to effect change in the club, and the only solution is, to paraphrase Hasler, "to stick solid with Kearney through these dark times".

I'm glad the board didn't decide to go with bringing Taylor in. If Kearney is going to fail he needs to do it his way. Then there will be no debate.

Yeah but how long do the board keep persevering with SK considering he has rejected help?????

He has cornered himself IMO, and the only way out is for on field results.

Considering the board looked for an assistant for SK, probably means they are starting to grow restless. Also considering the board wanted JT, it's safe to assume if SK is sacked JT is next in line.

Interesting times ahead.

Well it's up to the board, isn't it? If this Taylor rumour came from them then Kearney really is on thin ice. If it's just a rumour put forward by the media then we still don't know.

Totally agree.

But, but, he's got such a big face. Why would anyone want to undermine such a big face?

Kearney forced to face up to angry Parramatta fans

PARRAMATTA coach Stephen Kearney and his entire playing squad, including misfiring stars Chris Sandow and Jarryd Hayne, face an uncomfortable few hours tonight when they come face-to-face with the club's angry and disgruntled supporters.

But the night could be even more difficult for the board of the Parramatta Leagues Club, which is under siege and could face a vote of no-confidence as a result of the Eels' regression under their leadership.
The Australian understands key figures were last night discussing plans to challenge the existing board at next year's elections. But they were also holding out hope the supporters could call for a vote of no-confidence in the existing directors, a move which would prompt an extraordinary general election and possibly lead to the board being overthrown.
Regardless of that outcome, tonight's meeting threatens to be one of the more combustible in the club's recent history. It comes as the club attempts to defuse another embarrassing situation in which an approach was made to former coach Jason Taylor without the approval of existing coach Kearney.
Members of the club's board approached Taylor -- the Sydney Roosters under-20s coach -- over the prospect of joining the club's coaching staff. However, Kearney already has two assistants and it is believed he refused to sanction the move to sign Taylor. It was just the latest example of the dysfunctional nature of the Eels under chairman Roy Spagnolo.
Meanwhile, Preston Campbell has urged Parramatta to strike a playing-style compromise with frustrated halfback Sandow.
"You've got to have confidence in Sandow so he can have confidence to do the things he does that few other players can do," Campbell said.

You were an idiot and a smart arse (who thought he knew it all and above this forum) for criticising someone who had an opposing view to you.

It seems like SK, nothing has changed - you are still an ill-informed turd who pretends to know things football related but are as clueless as the coach you rigidly defend.

This pretty much sums up the majority's thought, but I'm willing to give poo poo the benefit of doubt.

When he goes to a press conference and says we need 12 other Matt Keating's then it's the day i lose hope. Then you got that wanker Matt Keating who knocks his team mates and questions their effort when he has never done a good thing in his life.
