Yes. Let him build some sort of little structure at the back of the car park. Let him take 5 years to finish it if he wants.

The first 2 years he can go and destroy something. Then and only then will he start building

This whole 5 year plan is a load of crap. Who have we signed for next year and beyond? Only one of note is Hopoate (who will need some time to get back into the swing of things).

I mean this is not like the NFL, NBA or even AFL where there is some thought of parity by awarding the woodenspooners with the first pick of each round for a draft where they can at least build for the future.

Our future is bleak and I can see the dark days of the mid 90s' coming.

great post, I have always said that wooden spooners should either get an extra cap concession for the year, or provided with extra funds by the NRL if unable to do purchase that player due to financial concerns, absolutely no reason why assistance isn't given to wooden spooners to help them improve, the NFL draft is amazing, man i wish rl was like it

oh please tell us more just how much better NFL is than NRL. It would be refreshing and new.

The salary cap is there to even out the competition so that teams don't have advantages over one another when it comes to player signings. I doubt such a system could work coinciding with the existence of a cap.

i am aware of thaat, but a concession much like a loyalty concession would atleast help the team spend a little extra for a player if they choose too, it would work

We thought back in the middle 80s that we could just develop our own players. Exactly what Kearney is doing with his 5 year plan now. Where did that idea get us in the late 80s and early 90s?? The same place it is going to get us now....

KEARNEY'S UNENVIABLE RECORD
Stephen Kearney, the man with the second worst coaching record in NRL history, should consider sending Blues coach Ricky Stuart and walking headline Michael Jennings a thank-you card for keeping Parramatta off the back page for the past fortnight. Kearney's winning record now stands at seven from 35 NRL games, meaning his winning percentage as coach has now slumped to just 20 per cent. His winning record in 2012 is just 9 per cent. The Eels are far worse off than either Penrith or the Blues but have flown under the radar of late due to a controversial Origin call and Jennings being on the outer at the foot of the mountains.

Yep it's become the acceptable way of life at the Eels. And if you question it or don't accept it with a smile then you're a deathrider.

That was a very subtle deathriding comment there.

I can't understand why people think there's a problem?
It's only 11 games into the season. We're sure to get another win on the board before season's end - just think of the euphoria when we do!

This is kinda sad on my part, but I am a nut for stats and win ratio's. I have been tracking our performances since 2001 against the rest of the table, so I have 10 years of data to lean on.

Parramatta need to win 2 (15%) more games out of our remaining 13 to not finish with the least number of wins in a season since 2001. (South Sydney twice)

We need to win 5 more games to equal our 2011 performance (38%) 6 (46%) to pass our 2011 performance in terms of wins.
All if these are possibilities.

However to make the 8 on average you need to win 12 games so 11 games more out of 13 upcoming means we have to win 85% for the next 13 weeks and hope our for and against allows us to play finals football.

Do I detect a hint of deathriding there?

It`s already too late to equal Eastern Suburbs` record of 1966 (zero wins). Maybe next year, eh?
