I know the guy personally....
and its not a direct go at u... its just beyond a joke the shit that gets made up about price... he has to go, thats a fact, he isnt up to coaching 1st grade... thats a fact... no shit needs to made up to justify him getting the axe...
the club as a whole is in a hole... recruitments been rong... all this proctor and sims talk is off the mark... we dont need them... so we wont chase hard.. but if we sign them... everybody will cry doust f@cked up by signing more back rowers... if we dont... doust in an idiot... he now knows we lack forwards and a half... hang the guy if he fails to deliver what we need... not if he fails to sign every off contract player... and hang him again if price is retained...
But base accusations on facts... not on fiction.
he went all out for cronk and bellamy... he identified we needed them... the next best half available was williams... he signed him... he turned out to be a dud... shit happens...
proctor is not needed... definetely not at 500k.... sims could be used up front... but the money to get him and make him a makeshift front rower could get u two proper front rowers...
logic is needed now... not panic... every tom dick and harry is linked to our club... wr dont need no more back rowers... dont hang doust if we miss proctor and sims... hang him if we dont get any decent forwards and a half....
thats all im saying

Yeah ,look fair enough ,couple of things i dont think signing Proctor or Sims is a good idea
better off with specialists as i said in an earlier post I THINK Lillyman is off contract at the WARRIORS he is still an effective frontrower .I cant cop how we get linked to every player also. When you say you know the guy i gather you mean Hodgkinson, if so then obviously your source is irrefutable, i can assure you i didn't comment off the top of my head ,but obviously my source of info was wrong he has been credible on any other info though ,so given it was 12 months ago I wont even comment to him. Also didnt like getting called a moron ,like most people wouldnt, happy to draw a line in the sand and leave it at that.

Haha ok buddy. We'll see who knows jack shit. Always amazes me how many f**k wits their are on here. You included. This is a forum. People do actually have good contacts (that can't be named). Of course you can believe what you like... But being a complete tosser about it is just stupid. Pull your head in.

Has it been made official yet,if not don't be a smartass, regardless of your contacts.

williams... he signed him... he turned out to be a dud...

Kinda off topic, but gotta disagree with that dude. Matter of opinion and all that, but I thought Williams was very promising, made a few mistakes while trying to create in attack, but it came off more often than not and was worth persisting with. Now being crushed under the coaches disapproval.

Look my bad on that... just some on here r like dead set kids... we know price is f@cked.. but no other coach could stop our forwards at the moment from getting steamrolled week in week out...
and with prices future on the line theres no chance he will make changes.. thats f@cked but thats how it is... but... at least we know there is no chance he will be retained...
Again my bad for the use of the word moron... was uncalled for

Yeh i think williams is an example of each to there own. I personally thought he would save alot of problems we have when it was announced we signed him... maybe my expectations were too high... maybe im just a bad judge... but personally i dont see him being a long term standout #7, and witt had a blinder in round one... but been average since his return... thats just my opinion... im hoping kyle gets a run in the next few weeks in the halves... we will never know about him till he gets a run i guess...

I agree, I wouldn't rule a line through Williams just yet but it wouldnt matter who was playing 7 ATM. Lucky for Williams he didnt play FG against the Rorters as it wouldnt be worth the flack. If our kicking game doesnt improve immediately Price will have to bring him back regardless and he'll be criticised if he does or if he doesnt lol

I posted that exact thing that peoples expectations of Williams were too high given he came from NSW Cup he was unlikely to be an instant raging success in a new club. We Dragons have very high expectations anyway but when you have had 2 poor seasons you tend to be looking too hard for a saviour. My only real issue with Williams is he doesn't seem to be overly quick for a half, I can see him as our half though. Witts form is linked to team performance so its really hard to gauge especially after the Rorters game much like the unfair criticism that Quinlan copped when we had a 1st half flogging against Souths as Quinlan looked dangerous in the 2nd half. I enjoyed watching Kyle play 5/8 against the Warriors in NSW Cup and even though he seemed frustrated with himself he certainly looked classy. He needs some more time there and with Prices love I'm sure will earn a recall. I dont think he is quick enough for 7 either and moves very much like a 5/8 for my money which maybe due to his size.

You raise a lot of good points and pretty much on the money. Once we break even in the ruck our forwards will look much better and then our halfs will as well. I still think we need 1 very good sizeable prop but if there is not one that you know for certain is going to lead the pack then stick with what we have minus Hunt. At worst if we sign Sims, Creagh can be bumped up to the front row.

The forum can be very frustrating as people call for changes then crucify Price for making them or crucify him for not making them lol so he can never please anyone. What people forget is the players have to take some accountability for their performances and team selection is very difficult when some guys are so inconsistent. If someone has 1 poor game everyone screams for them to be dropped but if you look back at NSW Cup there simply may not be a better option. People randomly call out names without any regard for their form for the Cutters.

As for Doust I've also pointed out he went very hard for both Cronk and Bellyache but they chose not to sign, what more can he do? Cooper was a very astute signing, Thompson has had some good and bad moments but he will improve when we start getting some better field position and possession like everyone. Widdop was a great signing. We are by no means complete with recruitment but we are well on the way.

If we fix the ruck we'll start winning games and things like forward size won't matter so much and people will start thinking Price can coach. We can only judge him on this year and if we werent robbed against Melb we'd be sitting 5th which is my pass mark for the season. For me the Jury is out and while I don't agree with everything Price does I'm not at training and dont know what is going on behind the scenes nor do I see every NSW Cup or Holden Cup game.

I don't think the expectations were too high on Sam Williams. He showed at Canberra that he can play and moving to a new club he just needed time to adapt. Look at Blair at the Tigers and Tony Williams at the dogs. They didn't start putting in good performances staright away but were given time. You just have to persist.

wonder if widdop was a bit slow to get going he'd be in the nsw cup at the moment!

The expectations of Widdop were realistic as he is an international and has proven himself in 1st grade over many years even during SOO without the big 3. He's also won GF's. It's a bit like signing Greg Englis and say I wonder what would happen if he failed......it's just not going to happen.

However if Widdop failed badly and we had a viable replacement knocking on the door I think eventually he'd be dropped to gain some form though it would probably take half the season before it happened as we bought him as a marquee player knowing his ability

It's been agreed that Williams didnt get enough time to settle in by most and I don't think I've seen too many people say he can't play but judging by a lot of peoples comments especially when Witt was picked for the 1st game I would definately say peoples expectations were too high especially as he came from NSW Cup. People damanded he be picked over Witt! For mine except for a few errors I think William's been close to the mark and really a debate on the No.7 is fruitless as they will all look ordinary until we fix the ruck

Blair and T-Rex are rep players who were established 1st graders at their respective clubs before switching.

Sam Williams was playing for Mounties most of last season and never really made the no.7 his own at the Raiders, apart from one good finals series.

If this Benji thing happens I really fear its goodbye Sam.
