You make a good point about Locke, wasted spot. Harris is good but I reckon Eastwood has more value as he can play up front too and ball skills. Probably comes down to Harris/FPN

No Rapira, feel gutted for the man, he's a very good player and I thought, had a reasonable year to. In this environment, I think he offers more than Bromwich to be honest.

No Blair as well - interesting. Did I miss something or is Sika Manu not there? Can someone compile a list of those who actually missed out? Its hard to think of them
:lol::lol: Hows 2008?

hahahaha, he actually used to tweet all the time and then completely disappeared for over a month until after the Grand Final.

I think we can safely say that Bobby Diggs convinced SBW to play.

LOL I even put a SBW in kiwis crisco jersey circa 2006 as the avatar for sentimental value. I also tweeted all of the other kiwi roosters and told them to bug him to get on that plane.

I very much want to win this WC.

YEEEESSS!!!!!

Like others have said it probably should have been Locke to miss out due to Fb being covered, plus he's the most likely (maybe the only) player in the squad to get up to off field shenanigans

I feel for Tohu but his time will come. He's only a baby.

Poor Harris, he's a great player, he'll no doubt be a Kiwi mainstay in the future. This WC just got very, very interesting. With the age of the Kangaroos squad, the Kiwis are a very strong chance.

Hmmm nah we'll retain the WC, but the Kangaroos will win the ANZAC Test next season and it'll be back to how Internationals aren't competitive enough etc

I don't think I've ever felt as bad for a player before...

I hope SBW gave the kid a call and personally apologised to him over this.

Gotta say though... Tohu Harris has had a crazy start to his test career... Wasn't he called in as a late replacement for the Anzac test?

He got called in during the week to replace Jeremy Smith, was only 18th man. Then Mannering pulled out of the game a few hours beforehand and he was promoted to the bench.

I feel for Tohu as well. However, the interest of the WC in NZ, The UK and France will be a lot bigger now. Publicity created will be great for the tournament

Agree that SBW should call Tohu.

"hey bro, i took your spot bro, u mad bro?"

whilst i think $bw will bring an added attraction to the competition the way he's done it is disgraceful. I wonder whether he expected his name to be read out so he could play games about whether or not to accept the spot, but when he learnt the kiwis didnt name him he now decides he's ok to play and make himself available"

Some fans need to get over themselves , like you haven't been a jerk once in your life LOL. RLWC is all that matters. having SBW in the lineup is a good thing for Rugby League, no matter what. Be a fan of the game and promote it. This SBW hate is tiresome. If you hate the guy that much the best thing to do is to say nothing about him, but no you promote him more with your hate talk LOL

Announcing it late is super wanky but I don't get the level of indignation.

How is it different to, say, Kade Snowden taking the spot of some young Italian forward? Snowden and SBW are available and are the better choices. The tournament will be better for both

Good for the tournament but not much for the actual rugby league movement
