It’s all well and good for O’Brien to say that he didn’t have the full spine until late in the season, but it was clear in the first half of the season that we were playing a style of football that didn’t suit the new rules. Even at full strength our team was ordinary in attack, yet we persevered week after week.
If Seibold could make a noticeable difference to our defence in a matter of weeks, how come not a single coach could make changes to our attack? It’s rubbish that we had to stick with the same system because it was learnt in the preseason.
