Knights are a myth

You had a dream run because you've gotten to a potential spot in the finals only by beating cellar dwellers, while providing no real competition for the top sides. I mean Eels and Roosters have beaten more top 8 teams than the Knights. Titans and Canberra on the same number (2).

Knoughts have nothing.

And if Souths miss the eight you will be classifying your own team as "cellar dwellers". Finishing ninth gives you as many semi final games as the team finishing 16th.

 This is gold.

Only Souffs could beat Cronulla, Canberra, Parramatta, Dragons on the slide (which even f**king Canberra managed) and the Cowboys due to a bullshit penalty and then start acting like they're invincible. Here's a newsflash: the Knights beat all of those teams as well! And with the exception of St. George and the Cowboys, so did almost every other team in the competition.

Only a Souffs fan could think of the Knights season as a 'facade', as if anybody actually thinks we're a genuine premiership chance. Sure, anybody who makes the eight could win it, but not even the most optimistic of Knights fans would see us knocking off Melbourne or Manly on Grand final day, let alone in week one.

Only Souffs could think that when they come up against Melbourne or Manly they actually have any kind of chance.

Enjoy your false sense of security and this brief period of victory - because the LOLs to be had @Souffs are going to be so much better for it.

We won't beat Melbourne, but we'll slaughter you pretenders in two weeks:lol:

How are they inform? What quality wins have they got since beating the Dragons (which we've also done). They smashed the Tits and Raiders, (we smashed 2 shit teams too). Unlike them we managed to beat the Cowboys, they lost to them.

They haven't got a quality win in ages. Going by their record against good teams, they won't beat the Broncos.

You barely managed to beat the Cowboys, the game could have went either way. Your side is no more in form than the Knights.

Sharks 26-4 ..minus Paul Gallen

Conceding 40 points to the Roosters

Thrashed 48-16 to the Warriors a few weeks ago at home

Souths deserve to make the finals???

LOL @ Souffs and Knights fans arguing over who is going to be the team to get beaten by 50 against the Storm in week 1 finals.

BTW, it will be the Knights.

Beaten by the Storm in week 1 finals? Highly likely.

We did beat them actually, 34-22 in Townsville

Our record against good teams isnt great.... so by that token we should account for Souths easily

Brisbane should knock both Newcastle and Souths over in the next 2 weeks. The Knights will probably beat the Dogs next week. If that happens we'll have a case where Souths will have to beat the knights by x amount of points to qualify for the semis. If it is any more than about 14-16 points, the Knights should hold on. Either way, I can't see either team getting past week 1 of the semis.

haha. i find it funny that the knights fans are getting all arrogant. Set yourselves up for a fall. It will make it all the more fun if you's do miss out on the 8.

Personally, I still wouldn't put money on souths to make the 8. Asotasi returning is a plus. But merrit is in doubt, which means we'll have either wesser, who is good for 1 good game in every 8, or roberts, who is easily exposed in defence... even though he will be a top player of the future... plus sutton has a break in his hand, and him firing is essential to an possible chances of success we have

Across the whole season both Souths and Newcastle have draws with the same degree of difficulty. It just so happens that Newcastle's wins have been mostly against the lower ranked opponents. But really both teams have had fair draws

The team that has really had the soft rails run though is the Wests Tigers. They have had almost a perfect draw where they play most of the top 8 sides once and most of the sides outside the top 8 twice. They had a very soft draw last year too

I'd rate Newcstle's chance of toppling Melbourne about 100x that of Souffs doing the same: 1 in 50 to 1 in 5000.

Knights will be over achieving if they make the 8 given the second highest number of players used in the comp this season due to bad run with injuries and 12 players getting their marching orders.

If they lose tonight there is a fair chance a lot of players will give up and they won't win again this year.

Probably time to give the rookies a run for the rest of the season.

Drop leaving players McDougall, Kaufusi, De gois, Ciraldo and Lulia for Mata'utia, Likiliki, Tetevano and Chris Adams.

so what you're saying is, with a top 8 spot theirs to lose newcastle should drop their experienced players who have gotten them this far, and bring in a bunch of young guys? As a souths fan, i hope they listen to you
