I wonder how much of Keeble's article is a PR stunt driven by major Knights sponsor that tabloid local newspaper concerned about their own investment.

Only because the local tabloid has been used as a mouthpiece for the Knights in the past. Juicy sponsorship benefits I suppose.

Maybe this is the subtle way of preventing Steve Burraston getting out there onto the front pages threatening relocating again.

Hye, if it gets another 2000-2500 through the gates for the next game, I'll nominate it for the Pulitzer Prize!

It's not about how, it's about how many.

Great thread guys, great discussion.

The idea of moving the Crusade was floated, but we had complaints from GA patrons when we were on the hill in '05. If the club moves to a seating structure like Penrith had/have (they may have changed) where all of one stand is GA except between the 40's, the characters will get there early to secure their seat as close to the 50 as they can and noise and atmosphere will increase.

Well I go to the game to ensure I don't see Brian Smith in one of his cringe worthy interviews ON FOXTEL before the game because he gives me the sh*ts.

I thought you went to the games to watch SD on the treadmill, place your vehicle in the carpark and line up for food :p

The knights are not the only ones to have lost supporters. Looking at the titans their crowds are down as well notwithstanding they have got one of the best stadiums, a good footy team, stars like Prince/Campbell/Bailey/Laffranchi, a successful NYC team, huge press coverage, good transport systems, entry costs the similar to last year.

My view is that it really comes down to the economy, needing to tighten belts, employment uncertainty. I also think that this belt tightening ties in with Foxtel which offers 20 live games a month for the family as well as 8 NYC games for the price of a bit over 1 adult ticket to a single game.

Is there any possibilty of the Knights puuting the 'match of the round' from the Real NRL on before NYC? The Knights could compensate whatever team was supposed to get the home ground gate takings, etc. I think this would work well seeing we are getting alot of home Sunday games this year. Get every back to enjoying a full day of footy!

Also big Tim brought it up but I think they need to look at extended the GA section at EAS and making seats a bit cheaper. They should look at something like GA extended from the hills around to the 20m line. Then having another price for reserved seats in the lower stand between the 20m lines and in the upper level from the ends to the 20m. Then finally the 3rd and dearest seats being reserved between the 20m lines in the upper level of the stands. Something like adult prices of - $15 GA, $25 reserved middle of bottom level & ends of upper seats & $35 for reserved middle seats in the upper grandstand. Kids prices should be a 1/3 of adult, so something like $5, $8 & $12. Buying a family of 4 pass should get you a 20% discount also.

That gives a family of four, 6 hours of footy and entertainment for just over $50.

Some people around this forum would prefer to spend that $50 on ten minutes of the best form of entertainment cruising around Islington.

I am in South Korea, and the commute to EA is just a major headache.

Out of all the pathetic reasons offered up, this is by far the worst, how dare you have rich and varied experiences while getting your knob shined in another country while your team needs you...for shame!
