Poor old Fus, looks like Tarzan.....

As a former Storm player I'll give him some support

1) good defensively

2) at his best running wide of the ruck

3) scientific tests have proved 9/10 people suck when they go to Townsville.

I'm guessing the other 10% is Willie Mason. He is in great form up there...I wonder if there is any gnashing of teeth in Knights HQ having missed out on him? I know there is right here!

That may be true...but I shall be watching to see how long he seems to have something to prove on this occasion!

Bellamy has applied his scientific approach with great success at origin level as history has shown us. He in no way needs players like Inglis, Slater, Cronk or Smith to enhance his training methods. Yes the cap rort is pure coincidence when it comes to their success. We'll just agree to disagree on that one.

Dude, dont be silly. I am not saying that rorting the cap had nothing to do with their success, far from it. However, when you look at the big 4 players in their team, the same players they now have to pay massive dollars to, not one of them was bought from outside their own system.

While they chaeated at keeping those good players at the club, noone can take away the fact that it was the club who developed them into the top line players that they are. You think Slater would be as good if he came through our system?

Like it or not, the Storm are the comp benchmark at finding and polishing RL diamonds. They just rorted the system to keep those diamonds in their pockets.

The thread should be titled 'Knights ride to the rescue of the Cowboys'.

Thats pretty f**king funny actually! They'd better be picking up atleast 50% of the TAB.

Also I am expecting to be pleasantly suprised with Antonio because I am expecting him to be dreadful and if his even poor he'll be punching well above my expectations.

I think your underestimating the ability of poor/average players too look great in a star team.

You're saying Slater, Smith, Inglis, Folau, and Cronk are all "poor/average"? All are proven gamebreakers

These blokes were all developed within the Storm system after being rejected by the likes of the Broncos and us.

Well I didnt mention any of those guys when I refered to the excellent players that the Storm have developed through their own system.

Why you felt the need to point them out when they had nothing to do with what I was saying is beyond me.

Just so all you guys know Kaufusi only got his Australian rep jersey so New Zealand couldn't pick him.

Yeah the australian selectors aka Grubs thought they were hurting the kiwis. If anything they did the kiwis the best favour in the world by selecting Kaufusi for the green and gold

Kiwis with the Rapira brothers, packer and co who needs a lazy overrated prop that is Antonio Kaufusi

Righto JW. I see merit with your counter argument. Yes their record with bringing kids through is stellar. I am proper envious that we don't have that.

erm, they werent 'rejected' by anyone... i cant understand how people still parrot this lie.

they were some of the best youngsters in the country - the storm signed them early and for good money.

That is entirely correct. I don't know now, but the storm at the time when they signed Smith, Cronk and Slater had the best young recruitment and development program in the country. They were not rejected by the Broncs.

Classic headline in todays local tabloid.

Knights miss out on Gasnier but sign Kaufusi!

Wow. So glad they signed a comparable talent. ;-)

the mass of spin they continue to dump into this Kaufusi signing concerns me greatly. are people just going to eat this sh*t up? he's playing off the bench at QLD cup level ffs. it will take a MASSIVE form reversal (which i'm not sure he has in him) to be even considered a solid first grade prop at this point.
