For those posters who want to sign Craig Wing. Watch him against Canberra next Monday. He is not the player he was a couple of years ago. He seems to have lost that zip he had. Also when you have guys like Buderus, Seu Seu and Mullen in the positions he plays I think the money could be better spent elsewhere.

I don't think we should be spending any money on a backrower even one of the calibre of O'Donnell. In addition, he is extremely high risk now as his career is in jeopardy. We have Simpson, Newton and Abraham in the backrow plus Patterson coming through the grades. Although O'Donnell is probably better than all four of them, i'd rather see the money better spent on a centre or prop-forward.

Craig Wing has been one of the Roosters best this year IMO, behind Anthony Tupou.

And who knows, change of club might do him the world of good. All the players in the current Roosters team who were in their grand final teams of a few years ago all look like half the players they use to be.

I think we all need to be realistic in that we will probably only get one "big name" signing if at all. Maybe I'm playing devil's advocate here, but with Johns not being here anymore, the "wow" factor of playing alongside him is gone. I have no doubt that Mullen,Walsh and Dureau will do the job in the halves for us. What we really need is a good quality front rower and a good quality centre. We can just about cover everything else.

I agree a good Mongrel Front Rower and a good quality centre and guys like Mullo and Walsh will do well. Exciting times ahead....

I just hope they spend the money wisely.
