I imagine all the NRL clubs who need a halfback will be trying their best to poach him. Lucky we extended him early.

He’s a backup ffs, like most halves his age.

Well so far Momoisea has played first grade and Moretti hasn’t. Moretti has never been good enough for the top 30 at any club. That’s why we signed him into our second tier. He goes good against reserve graders though, like Jake Arthur. The difference is Moretti is two years older. He is also two years older than Mataele.

He has been here for 18 months I would have thought by now Ogden being at 26 years of age he should have surpassed Makatoa in the pecking order by now if he was decent enough.

Makatoa is competent/above average but nothing special and is 3 and half years older then Ogden.

They play different roles. Makatoa is a toiler, while Ogden is an impact prop like Greig. There’s only room for one of them on the bench in first grade.

Clean out in Cup required. We have a good Flegg team and SG Ball talent speaks for themselves. I get that we are reaching into Ron Massey Cup and Flegg for players AND playing in NZ at 10am, but all the same we are not cutting it with the better reggie teams this year.

Agree I would be flooding the reserves team with the best of flegg and SG ball.
Maybe 8-10 who have played 1st grade but the rest from the best of ball and flegg

Agree - Blake and Dunster (and anyone dropped out of the first 17 should be made to play unless injured.

It's not a very competitive run-on line-up.

Judging by the NSWRL match centre, looks like Rodwell and Ogden went off after 8 mins, Makatoa after 12 mins. Not sure what's happening there...?

Makatoa and Ogden went back on in the 63rd minute (so played a total of 29mins and 25mins respectively). Rodwell's total appears to be just 8mins.

Did you see our SG Ball team made the grand final? That doesn't happen for a Sydney club unless they are spending money. It's a very competitive recruitment environment.
