Really happy for Kyle and the club. Competition for spots is a good thing. Keeping players that want to be here as well. I hope we can keep Liddle as well, on a longer contract. Has been always a solid player for us.

Really don't understand the KF haters. He was solid all year round and I reckon he'll do well stepping out of Hunt's overrated shadow in '25. Do people really think the coach is dumb enough to re-sign a player if he doesn't think he's first grade standard? This was a guy who looked completely crushed not much more than a year or so ago after being made the scapegoat in a terrible Bulldogs side. Glad to see the club show some confidence in him.

Really the only hater’s are other clubs supporters & when you read their reasoning it’s based on nepotism & not so much on ability.
I see him & Ilias having a shoot out next season to see who partners Atkinson in 26.
Should that not eventuate he’s a 14 going forward at least.

I think Kyle has been re-signed due to his ability to cover halves/hooker. He will eventually transition to hooker...hence bulking up.

People may say that Kyle has a low ceiling and maybe so but I'd say he also has a high floor. You always know you are going to get a reliable performance from him. Watching him 2026 without Hunt will be very interesting to see what his true ceiling is.

I'm very wary of resigning a coach prematurely but I don't feel the same about Flanno, irregardless of our finish on the ladder last season or this upcoming year. We need this guy long term. He is hungry for success. He is impactful and tries everything to get us the right players. It was a different case with the mistakes made extending the last two coaches. Their aura was very different whether you liked them as people or coaches.

Bennett was a do'er. Shane is do'er. They care about their reputation but are not people who want to constantly defend themselves. I hope our fans can see this.

If what you say is what the Kyle extension indicates then I for one am very happy.
