Barca continue to drop points, 1-1 in their derby with Espanyol last night. Real go 5 points clear...

I said it already and I'll say it again, the most likely outcome is looking like Real will win the league, despite losing both of their matches to Barca!!!

Old news now, but, Diego Simeone is coaching Atletico Madrid.

The interesting part though came when I was reading El Pais and it said since 1987, he's Atletico's 49th coach!!! Unbelievable. I wonder if they'll crack the half-century before the season's end...

Have you heard anything about the tax laws changing in Spain.

Apparently the tax rate for non spanish players is going up to 50 odd percent.

It won't effect current players (who are mainly paid net) but could have an effect on the football clubs that have to cover the increased tax bill.

But i don't know any details, and was wondering what you knew?
As Europe news is different to English news.

No, I don't know anything about that. I just did a few searches on it now too and didn't find anything. I actually like that idea though, plus I know of a few leagues that should implement something like this...

Theo Walcott doesn't know the first thing about crossing, wtf would he know about a whole club.

Only a complete idiot would think any team was better off without a player like Cesc.

...f**k i miss him :(...no homo.

Maybe its nothing then. It was discussed a while back with regards to when Becks joined Real.

I think the tax law was set up to persuade bankers and top people in Industry to work in Spain. In the end, it was just football clubs who took advantage. Much to the delight of non Madrid supporters every where..

Oh and of course Theo is going to say that about Cesc. He is hardly going to come out and say "I cry my self to sleep every night, and now Cesc has gone we have no chance at anything".

Even though I'll be steering clear, here are the odds:

Real Madrid: 2.60
X: 3.40
Barcelona: 2.55

If I was betting, I'd take First scorer/result: Iniesta/1-2, @ 63/1

Strange XI choice by Mourinho. You can't tell me Diarra and Altintop are better than Kaka and Ozil....

Pretty incredible first half. The pace of this game is unreal! Iniesta should have finished his chance, he should have hit it first time! Also, Casillas was brilliant coming out of the box with that header a bit later too...

It's amazing how Barca have dominated in every facet but are losing! Bring on the second half!
