Ladder squeezed even tighter after this weekend's results

The vast majority of lower placed sides on the ladder defeated the higher placed sides this weekend. It is certainly good for the comp and fans.

Apart from the Broncos win over Penrith, and St.George who were equal on points with the Knights, all other lower placed teams won.

Should Storm win tomorrow night, that will be 6/8 lower placed teams winning (6/7 if you discard St.George).

The ladder has been compressed.

The Dogs certainly have plenty to play for tomorrow night....the last team standing after 4 rounds.

The competition needs more of a curve in my opinion.

This everybody wins a medal nonsense is tiresome, there should be great teams in our competition. The balance has swung too far, salary cap needs to be raised.

The curve is decided by desire, quality of coaching and hiring - not by the chequebook

You'd rather it be different?

Some teams will fall off in the coming weeks, Titans, Canberra, Cowboys, Sharks etc. probably won't keep up and continue to have more losses than wins

yeah lets get back to a comp where the cowboys win 2 games a year and brisbane score 800 points... that will bring the crowds back.

Easy mate. They both are special ed unit grads.

Raiders just voted his club out of existence

Besides getting the two points, does anybody actually enjoy watching their side play a sh*t one like Sharks/Cowboys circa 2010? Now imagine how unbearable it is if you don't go for either team and just want to see a good game

Higher quality across the park = better for the game

but what we're seeing is mediocrity across the park. Im with Raiders and Desert QLDer, I'd like to see some more truly great teams, even if it is at the expense of some medium-quality teams. That said, I have no problem with the overall quality of games at the moment.

yep

to think that if the Dogs lose (or win by less than 5) the Broncos will be on top of the ladder is ridiculous, they've been extremely average

I think that may be to do with less talent coming through the lower grades, or not being prepared as well.

We'd have the occasional dynasty if we adopted Gus's idea. Every club should be able to go over the cap to keep their players.

I'll remember this post so it comes back to bite you in the *ss.
Canberra made the finals last year, the Sharks rolled the premiers and how many teams have put a score like that on the Storm in the last few years?

But ironically you leave out Souths, Eels and Panthers...because these teams have been the benchmark of the comp!

You know f**k all.
