If its true the this is a blight on the great St George club. Lance Thompson has been loyal to St George, come through the juniors and played his guts out for that club. As a Storm supporter I was totally sympathetic to Thompson at the end of the 99 GF....a grown man with his head in his hands crying his eyes out and being consoled by Mark Coyne. Thats how much playing for Saints meant to him! Its a crying shame if they've shafted him like that!

man my point is i think its unfair to clubs with heaps of juniors coming through and clubs with long serving players and tradition, whereas teams like melbourne dont have the juniors coming through and can simply look at other clubs and lick their lips at the possibilities.

Melbourne seem to have a huge number of top quality juniors coming through. Inglis etc.... They have them posted with Norths in Brisbane.
