Really one of the caveats to remind people how to vote fav movies, is how often do you actually watch these movies. I know on my list, it's only stuff that I repeatedly rewatch. It's funny how much you can start seeing through a movie after the 5-6 watch over a 10yr period. Thats why my number 1 movie was such an easy choice.
To be honest I can only think of one movie I’ve watched more than 5x - pulp fiction

don’t get the idea of watching a movie 20-30x

How about movies you watch often when you just come across them channel surfing / on a plane etc?

I watch movies like this, pick them up anywhere through.

Good Will Hunting
The Firm
A Few Good Men
The Big Short
Glengarry Glenross
The Day of the Jackal
Casablanca
Unforgiven
Goodfellas
The Godfather

I'm pretty much the same with all those movies, aside from Glengarry Glenross which I think would vie for the overrated film title for me personally. I'd heard how good it was for years and when I eventually got round to watching it I was extremely disappointed, outside of Baldwins speech. I guess it's just not for me.

Other movies I usually always watch are: True Romance, Platoon, The Princess Bride and Moneyball. I used to watch Reality Bites a lot back in the day too.

That is in my top 5. And all your lists need more Patrik Swayze. Red Dawn is a good rewatchable one.

I was looking for True Romance the other day - not on Fox, Netflix or Stan.

I checked it out, didn't seem legit. Interesting that True Romance is not available on google either. Weird how some films just get fenced in like this. Glengarry Glenross is the same. Wake in Fright was for decades due to a copyright/ownership dispute.

Was looking for some films from the 50s and 60s (Night of the Living Dead). Ended up having some luck with the Internet Archive. Btw these are public domain.

Great movie that True Romance.

James Gandolfini & Christopher Walken stole the show in that movie.

Movies I've rewatched more than five times:

1. The Dark Knight
2. The entire LOTR trilogy
3. Infinity War & Endgame
4. Shrek
5. Super Troopers
6. The Hangover
7. The Shawshank Redemption
8. The Green Mile
9. Kingdom of Heaven (extended cut)
10. Spy
11. The Heat
12. Ghostbusters (original)
13. Home Alone
14. Christmas Vacation
15. Shutter Island
16. Interstellar

Shit, I could go on forever. There are so many movies I can enjoy on repeated watches, although very few of these would be ones I would watch more than once or twice in a given year.

Every movie on my list I have seen numerous times. Some I’ve seen at least 10.
My number one movie I reckon I would have seen at least 100 times in my life, and I can still watch it and enjoy it now.

Ahhh .... inspires thought of my “most watched movies list”...

I can easily name my top 10... bearing in mind it covers my whole life from kid to adult and also as an adult watching with kids...(Toy Story....)

Thus not necessary my biggest favourites but they are all favourite in some respect

1 - Grease
2 to 4 - Star Wars (A new hope, empire strikes back, return of the Jedi. Dunno which is most watched of the 3 but they’d be close to even).
5 - Braveheart
6 - Toy Story
7 - Coming to America
8 - Mrs Doubtfire
9 - Planes Trains and Automobiles
10 - Commando

Grease is #1 by the length of the straight because when I was a kid and our family got a vcr (oh yeah it makes me feel old) we got given a tape of Grease. I would have been 7/8 years old and watched that movie relentlessly, wanted to be a T-bird so much. Not kidding I’d suggest I’ve seen it possibly 40-50 times... but probably only 4 or 5 times over the age of 10.

someone suggested movies most watched are like those you’d see on a plane etc.. it’s true for me. They are familiar, easy to watch and will always put a smile on your face. That’s why many of mine are comedies.

Most watched would be an interesting list. There would be a lot of repeats from favourite lists, but I reckon half my most watched wouldn't necessarily rank as favourites.

Toy Story 2
Shrek
Emperors New Groove
would be up there as my 3 most watched due to my kids watching them endlessly when they were little. I do love all 3 too, but I wouldnt go out of my way to watch them, if they happen to be on I'll watch and still enjoy them.

Ben Hur (original, not the putrid remake)
Dirty Dozen
Spartacus
Battle of the Bulge
would be up there as well. They seems to get a pretty good run on tv late at night. I'll often be channel surfing and when I see any of these I can pick them up anywhere & know that I wont be going to sleep until they are finished. Whats worse is when one of them rolls into Ben Hur, lol
