the players will take any opportunity to ride the new escalators,
did they mention how well the club is doing,

They did, but a gentleman then got up and went though the numbers and asked specific questions to a point he believed the Details were misleading and the club had actually done worse than last year.

Doesn't that guy get up every year and question the finances?

So, that puts to rest the speculation that the board forced them to go and take the heat of themselves.
Next conspiracy theory?

A mate of mine with ties to the club (but who supports the Bulldogs) said the players only went along to make Kearney and the board look like they had choreographed the whole thing. My mate said the players wanted the board to look like they had staged it to deflect attention from themselves.

My mate is never wrong about things. He predicted we would get Jason Taylor in to oversee Kearney and we all saw how that came true.

I'd believe that. Is it your brother in law's uncle who told you that?
That is just dispicable. How could the players think to do such a thing?
No wonder we are struggling.

the trouble is its only a temporary solution if we get lapped by the raiders the spotlight will be right back on the players (and coach) if they are that worried about it why dont they try winning a few games

I think suity knows exactly what was being asked and was just stirring up trouble as the question was questioning the integrity of the board.

I would assume Suitman thinks people are talking about the question to Hindy, rather than the finances question.

Yes. That's what I meant. It was a dumb question. And a rude one. We know Hindy has slowed a bit but to question his passion just proves that whoever asked the question is a f**k knuckle.

I think suity knows exactly what was being asked and was just stirring up trouble as the question was questioning the integrity of the board.

Ahhm, ok then. :? If that's what you think, that's your perogative. :?
Why would I think that?

Everyone knows Hindy won't try hard if the board is crap.

Just like how the other players drop the ball and miss tackles when they don't like the gameplan.

I think Hindy wouldve have been thinking to himself in between being asked that question and when he finally answered it - "Thank F%^& Im out of here after this season. Ive carried this joint for over a decade....I dont need this bulls%^t"

LOL Let's sort this out.

It was a reasonable question to the board about their finances.

It was an unreasonable question to Hindy about his effort in 2012.

I think everyone was on the same page only deep down.

TBH it didn't help when Pou decided to muddy the waters with:-

Everyone knows Hindy won't try hard if the board is crap.

Just like how the other players drop the ball and miss tackles when they don't like the gameplan.

Agree on both. Just thought Mark was implying that somebody questioning the club's finances at the AGM was an unusual occurrence, when it's been happening at every AGM for pretty much as long as I can remember.
