but you were the one to bring up the share ownership of a past CEO, :crazy:that has nothing to do with the current debate.

Actually, it was in response to the suggestion that Fitzy was going to the gaming commission. People in glass houses and all that.

Predictable that the AGM was a shambles I guess.

Also predictable that two of the Three Amigos were swift into damage control and deflecting criticism here last night.

Damage control? The most embarassing thing about last night was the typical league fan being outed as a f**king imbecile.

Mate you're one of the fan's spokesman around here (a group I like to refer to as the Trumpet Blowing Morons). If anyone should be in damage control it's you.

IMO the players and the coach should not have been there as it was a complete waste of time, at the end of the day, the players are answerable to the coach and the coach is answerable to the board and the board has to be answerable to us the members of this club.

Spot on.

And last night showed they weren't going to be accountable for there actions.

They'll be accountable. At election time.

I was merely relaying the consensus here, at nospam46 and on twitter.

You on the other hand feel it that it's your duty to put out spot fires on behalf of the club. Is it an honorary position or do you get a retainer ?

how did he have a practicle 5 year plan if he wasn't aware of the full extent of the problems that needed fixing.
His 5 year plan must have been nothing more than a marketing ploy to promote himself.

Because after five years you can guarantee you've been through the absolute longest contract cycle of all the contracts on your books. That said, very few players are on contracts longer than three years, so four years should be enough for complete turnover if it's needed.

Who actually said it was a five year plan anyway? I'm sure it's a good idea but clubs also need a shorter plan as well as an ongoing (i.e. indefinite) one. Who put the focus on the five year plan? Is that just more fan bullshit or is it from the club?

Happy to be proved wrong but.

Definitely happy to be proven wrong if a fan forum is organised for before the end of the season. At least that way we can have a dedicated forum for airing views and hearing from the board/players/coaching staff without it all being lost in between happenings with Leagues Club.

I'm pretty sure he was on the far left of the stage (looking at the stage) at the back, behind the Mannah boys. As i was about to enter the auditorium, the team walked in and i remember seeing him then as well. So yes, i'm certain Shack was there.

Cheers CBF. Good that Shack was invited along with everyone else, and good that he chose to participate alongside Kearney with everyone else. Hopefully that's a sign that rifts are healing - these are adults we're talking about after all.

They were probably all forced to go along mate. I don't think it was much as being given 'invitations'. I doubt any of the players or even SK himself would have been there unless it forced upon them. The board could just wanted to pass the buck to direct the attention off themselves, for someone as sceptical as yourself I'm surprised you're naive to think the players and coach attended the AGM voluntarily.

I was more thinking that Kearney might have made sure Shack was invited (instead of leaving him out of the squad), and Shack made sure he accepted - which would be a good sign?

We don't know who's call it was (Board's or Kearney's or Club PR?) to have the whole playing group there to "stand united" though, and I reckon Kearney could easily have fronted the AGM without any players in tow.
