I think the grounds issue is something that needs to be resolved however if we were winning games I wonder how much of an issue it would be.

Still I would go and play at ANZ.

Yep. Has always been the case.

Does the club chase the easy money at ANZ or does it commit to more games at Campbelltown?

All this roaming around Sydney for home games makes us look like travelling gypsies. Some stability would be nice

A lot of people won't want to hear this but yes, that is the answer. The new training facility will be built in the south west, and it would make sense to run out of Campbelltown and ANZ only, with heritage style games at Leichhardt.

It won't please the Balmain fans, but it's looking like it may happen.

I'm a balmain fan & as much as leichhardt means sentimentally I don't give a rats arse anymore as to where we play as long as we are consistently competitive & the club is genuinely united & displays the savvy & ruthlessness(on & of the field) required for long- term success.

I'm fed up to the back teeth with the amateurism & ineptitude perpetually displayed on & of the field !!

That wouldn't worry me as an old Balmain fan. LO is behind the times, should be used sparingly. Would rather we took all money on offer at ANZ at the moment until we're financially sound again, and then take more games back to CSS with maybe one or two at LO where the draw allows (Souffs/Easts.)

I want Wests (Tigers) to survive long term and if that means playing less games at LO that's fine. The area really doesn't deserve the Tigers any more anyway.

In an ideal world we should play 10 games at CSS and 2 at LO every year.

Obviously the Magpies fans wouldn't like that, but its the only smart option in my view.

LO, while i love it, is a bitch to get to, even worse to leave from, is substandard for todays game and costly to use.

A 25k stadium at Lidcombe would be perfect

I don't think the Wests Tigers supporters of Magpie origin would mind this at all. A lot of the Fanatics would even be happy with this. The original terms of the JV involved playing the majority of games at Campbelltown before the agreement was ignored, so having a strong representation at Ctown and a Magpie side in the NSW Cup would have the majority on board in my opinion

If all Balmain fans are as reasonable as you, this could be a smooth transition come the financial deadline

Amen to that. We need to keep Ctown. Having a leagues club near the ground is a must imo. We need to build some type of home ground feeling when we play

No. Having 3 home grounds impacts on home ground advantage. There is no Leagues Club benefitting from game day. The ground is sub par, the toilets are a disgrace, it's a pain getting in and out, there is no train station, and ANZ is a short hike up the road geographically for the supporters based in the area.

I understand a lot of people will never agree, and that is their right.

Lol so 6 days a year is going to make a leagues club rich ?
In fact you will find that successful clubs dont want nor need a full house on gameday. All it does it piss the loyal punter off because they have no parking ... trust me i have worked for a club that shut down functions for 6 months because of lack of parking. So anyway your anti LO bs regarding clubs is invalid

All will be moot next year when Balmain default and hard decisions are made. Condolences...

The club has already stated they will continue to play at LO so you may as well just drop this trollfest.:BDH:
The NRL dominated board can say what they like. When Balmain default, Wests get first option on buying them out. If they elect to do so, no more NRL independent board. No more Leichhardt. It's a possibility. Tool.

Interestingly enough Danoz, I don't necessarily see it happening that way if Wests Ashfield take over. Ashfield is comparatively closer to LO, and it would stand to reason that they would seek to still support LO as it is closer to the Maggies original homeland of the inner west.

I guess time will tell though.
