I agree, I am not sure why Lote was punted from ARU, but you don't punt your "super stars", he has been past his best for quite sometime now, he will produce some times, but not very often, I am thinking we signed him up to take everyones thoughts away from another dud season.

Making the semis is the only way to attract good talent, I still think on paper we had a better team of players than the EELs, but what happened to us? We folded again (mid seasn & the end). It has shown that it is madness to keep your coaching staff on long term contracts, perhaps a few exceptions.

I only hope Folkes is here for 2010 to step up & take over in 2011.
Whilst I agree with you,Sheens has 1 finals appearance in 13 seasons,that alone should mean sacking,others won't agree,or won't approve of Folkes,but me I do.

I will give Folkes a go - he is a defensive specialist which is where we fall down. Our attack can take care of itself, you cant coach what Marshall and Farah do anyway.

The word im hearing is Shines will be at Souths in 2011. :)

Thats what i heard when Taylor was sacked... Hmmmm

Wests Tigers superstar Benji Marshall has welcomed news of rugby convert Lote Tuqiri possibly returning to the NRL with the Tigers, saying his signature would give the joint venture club the most devastating left- and right-edge attacks in the competition.
''I think it would be great for the game to see Lote Tuqiri come back to rugby league,'' Marshall said. ''If he's seriously interested in coming back … it'd be great to have him in our team. Taniela Tuiaki one side and Lote Tuqiri the other. He's a devastating player.''

Looks like benji thinks Lote's playing on the wing...which i'm down for... But i pray Moltzen stay in the halfs.. Maybe Lazarus to the number 1 pos.

Reading that from Marshall makes me think Sheens will put Moltzen to fullback - at least until we are out of finals contention anyway...

On a positive note, Benji was quoted as saying he will be playing his "best" and "preferred" position of five eighth for the Kiwis. The downside to this good news is that if Sheens takes this on board, I expect to see Farah back in the 7 jumper next year, with maybe Lawrence at hooker...

I doubt that Farah will play number 7 again..

I'm thinking that Taumata and Marshall will play in the halves either side of the field, with Marshall at his usual left hand side..

Moltzen will probably be put back at fullback...

I read somewhere Lote would mean sheens could reunite Benji and Moltzen and lote would play fullback- If it happens and we have no injuries to 1,6,7 and 9. Finals here we come..

Yah...but the latest is Benji talking about Lote playing on the opposite wing to Tuiaki..

At least this gives us something to talk about over the off season.. :p

Lets just sign the bastard first!

Come one LOTE - this is crazy

Still have my doubts about Moltzen at 7- but he should get the first shot- with our present squad.

Who else would you play there?

Taumata looked dangerous when he played them games for the dogs.. Could be a good option.. Although, i loved what i saw with Moltzen..
