Kickby

Just rename it.

I hate seeing great league players like McCaw wastede watching kickers win games.

I love how the toffs call it the "running game". More like the "sitting down before every scrum because we are tired kick it out and hope for a penalty game". People who like Rugby dont even watch it when its on at the pub. Its just like they like to associate themselves with it, but the drivel it provides makes even the most faithful Rugby jerk look the other way.

lmao

Are you serious?

Union's kicking is into touch on the full most of the time. That's about as testing as picking up the Gatorade bottle at half time.

Union games are regularly decided by penalty goals, I can't recall the last League game decided by one.

there are plenty of matches that finish for example 18-20 from a golden point penalty/last few minute penalty

Fair enough, and a great game it was too.

Now mine, you can look it up if you like, this game was called "A celebration of Rugby"...

South Africa 30, World XV 27.

South Africa 10 Penalty Goals.

World XV 5 Penalty Goals, two tries, one conversion.

That game and other similar games just don't happen in Rugby League...

Why?

every 5 tackles there is a kick in league now theres a kicking game

So, are you saying that every side completes every set of 5 tackles and then kicks the ball? What happens is one side knocks the ball on or if one side scores a try inside 6 tackles? Never happens?
But then again, if a side puts in a clearing kick or plays for an attacking 40/20, or grubbers in goal for a repeat set, or puts up a cross field aerial kick for a winger after 5 tackles, is a lot more exciting than watch a ball being punted into the back row of the grandstand on the first phase,

this was not a official match hence does not count its the equilvalent to a practice match with most of sa better players not playing

it was a generalisation much like the one made by the antichrist about union kicking

Poor excuses, do you think the poor 30,000 bastards who paid to see it agree with you?

Which "better" SA players didn't play?

Actually, don't bother, I wouldn't know one from another.

But this is a good read.

And you didn't answer the simple question;

That game and other similar games just don't happen in Rugby League...

Why?

You've got nothing.

Union matches are regularly dominated by penalty goals, League matches are not.

Union's kicking is mainly in touch on the full, League's isn't.

Not opinion, simple fact.

League is dominating Union in Australia to the extent where Union is beginning to look like an after thought. No one gives a stuff about the 2007 RWC, the S14 isn't on FTA TV and Union Internationals ratings have dropped to the point that they're struggling to get 1/3 of Origin with twice the coverage.

Move on scrote, this will only get uglier.

IMO the 3 greatest things that union could ever do for their game would be:
1. Make penalty goals worth 1 point.
2. Make it that you can't kick out on the full in your own 22.
3. Make it that you can't touch it in goal for a 22 drop out.

They can still keep everything that makes union unique such as rucks/mauls, lineouts, competitive scrums etc while with these 3 simple rules completely revolusionising the game by encouraging attacking, positive rugby.
