Ouch?

Not at all.

The lad went there to "win trophies" and in the process tarnished his domestic and international image.

At least he has something to show for it.

Not like Nasri did much this year anyway... no doubt he'll be relegated to the bench next season

As much as i hate the guy he did have a decent end to the season. Wasn't one of their main weapons by a long stretch but got them some vital goals against Chelsea (the winner) and Spurs too.

He left to win trophies and he did. Eventually he was going to if he went there. The way he did it though let him down, and that's why the majority of Arsenal fans can't stand the prick. He can get fckd, and as much as i don't want to see City spend hundreds of millions on even better players than they already have, it'd be worth it to see Nasri, firstly benched, then loaned out.

I hope he enjoys competing for a spot by sitting on the bench watching Hazard and Silva start the majority of games.

Neither him nor Dzeko will be anywhere near their starting lineup by 2014/15.

f**k him. He wanted to go to win and he did. He's lost a lot of respect because of it and got made to look like a complete bitch both times he's been to the Emirates since moving.

The first time in which he was bullied by a teenager (Frimpong) and later on tried to sub himself off.

He's a good player, but if Aguero hadn't scored that last minute goal against QPR to win the title Nasri would be one of the first players to be replaced.

Fair enough that the prick had a go at the fans but he said shit about the players, which i think was a bit out of line. It's not like they said anything about him publicly, apart from Frimpong, so f**k knows why he felt he should say there are some who just hang around to get paid.

our potential team for next season so far

4-3-2-1

Sagna-Koscielny-Vermaelen-Gibbs

Wilshere-Arteta-Song/M'Vila

RvP-Podolski
Giroud

with a nice bench of Merts, Santos, M'Vila/Song, Rosicky, Ox, Walcott, Campbell

RvP playing a SS role with Podolski given a free role to exploit near the left while Giroud plays Targetman.

Sadly, Wenger won't change it and will play a bland 4-3-3 with almost everyone out of position.

Won't get ahead of myself yet, but if Giroud does sign, I can't see him walking into the starting side. Remember, Chamakh was hugely successful in France as well. Plus, Theo's form at the moment and last season certainly warrants selection.

Then there's Gervinho and The Ox. We'll be blessed for attacking options next season that's for sure.

Moving rvp into the true number 10 role behind giroud would be so much better for the team.

Plus Giroud is 10 times better than chamakh, he can score with his head, feet and can set up goals

F*ck yes.

Looking forward to seeing him in action next season. Way more technically adept than Chamakh. His buyout clause was a reported 15m, and apparently Arsenal had no hesitation in meeting it.

If so, I believe it'll be money well spent. Now all we need his M'Vila (which many reliable French sources are saying has already been finalised) and we're set for next season.

Did anyone see that Juve offered £8m for RVP? I think we can get Messi for £12m.

They're just trying to out-Wenger us.

I think we will sell him for 15-17. Because of his age, contract status, injury history and delay/refusal (whatever way you wanna look at it) i don't think we will be getting anything more than 20.

That's assuming he leaves of course. Still hope/think he will sign a new contract.

they wont sell him, keep him, he helps our small title chance and if by some miracle we win then he can either re sign or just leave but atleast we got a title out of it which is worth more than the 15mill in money we wont use to replace a player of RVP's Class

F*ck him.

He could have been an Arsenal legend, but now he'll merely be remembered as a player who the club supported through 6-7 injury plagued years, and repaid that faith by stabbing the club and the fans in the back. He could have done the honourable thing, like Clichy and Thierry, and asked for a transfer behind closed doors.

But this reeks of Nasri-esque mercenary'ism. After only one good season he now wants to follow the cash. He'll most likely break three legs next season anyway.

I stil think if we keep him this season and we somehow win then he may re sign

It smells like the same thing rooney did and plus if the bosses are telling rvp that the transfer wont happen, Giroud and Podolski aside then he has a right to want to leave.

f**k him. We coulda sold him years ago for a reliable player and actually won shit. Esp in 07/08 when we bottled it.

The way we play the striker is always going to get a billion chances, which is why if one stays fit for the whole season they'll score a decent amount. Hell, Chamakh had 10 goals by Christmas in his first season and that muppet hates shooting.

I'm not saying we won't miss van persie, because we will. But if we get a decent AM and Wilshere fits back in well I don't see why we can't make top 4 again.

I kinda hope he goes to City just to see the reception he gets at the Emirates. It's not like him going to City is going to affect our position on the table, we won't be competing with them anyway. Wouldn't mind money + De Jong + Zabaleta. Then again, it's not FM so wouldn't happen.

I'm not upset by the decision, it's understandable where he's coming from. But this fckn ridiculous letter just gets on my nerves. I imagine it's how Cleveland fans felt after "the decision".

Is here any chance of selling RVP for $30 and still trying to sign Hulk?

I'm clutching at straws here, the situation is f**ked.

With Usmanov clear attack on Arsenals transfer policy pretty much the first blow in what my opinion appears to be an eventual take over bid. Who do you prefer...

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...etter-over-Robin-van-Persie-contract-row.html

Usmanov or Kroenke

money vs tradition

Remember Usmanov needs only 30% to see arsenals financial model and make a bid to buyout the remaining shares. He either has the 30% already or is very close at around 29%. Kroenke has about 66% which he bought only a few years ago.

Usmanov has stated that he will eliminate arsenals debt from the stadium, and implement a transfer budget to rival any team in the world. His estimated value is around $18 billion.

Kroenke inserts no money into arsenals system, however he attends every meeting and lets the club and board do business and for the most part run the club. His estimated value is around $3.2 billion.
