what makes you guys think RVP is off ?

he has another year to go

I don't want another Tevez situation. He can't continue as captain for starters. Who would want to play under a player who has publicly disrespected the club, and is clearly departing on a money-grabbbing mission at the end of the season.

Now that we know that he 'wont' re-sign, why let a potential 20-30m profit leave for nothing?

Not that they're anywhere at the level of RvP (2011/2012 RvP anyway), but Podolski and Giroud are worth of sharing the burden. Not to mention Arshavin, Chamakh, Bendtner, Vela, Ox, Walcott and Gervinho.

Lol, we've gone form the penthouse to the basement under Wenger and your asking that question.

And if as youve just pointed out Wenger has supposedly had the money thats even more damning.

Arsenal have won more under Wenger than they have in 70 years.

Please define "Penthouse" for me?

like seriously, yea we havent won some titles for a while but hell we havent fallen off the face of the earth, we were a Bendtner toe away from knocking Barca out of the 10/11 CL Season.

And after what was one of the worst off seasons in recent arsenal history we dig deep to finish third after being in the bottom 5 after 6 rounds, no one would have thought they could come back from that.

Van Persie may well stay for this season, if he doesn't so be it, the club didn't crash and burn when one the best players in arsenal history Thierry Henry left for Catalan County and it sure as hell wont if rvp leaves.

Arsenal this off season so far have bought two very classy players in Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski and with Wilshere back its like having a new signing.

we have Exciting Youngsters in Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Francis Coquelin, Ryo Miyachi, Joel Campbell (On Loan At Betis for 12/13) Zak Ansah and Hector Bellerin who have either already hit the first team or will be in it in season to come

The Future is bright not bleak just remember how many trophies Arsenal FC has won under RVP 0, but how many have we won under Wenger.

So in the end ill trust the master tactician over a greedy dutch striker who's one big season has gone to his head.

You always have exiting youngsters. Shame they either fade away or move away.

What you need are some boring defenders who can defend. A blind spot for Wenger.

Now you need a player who can score goals to.

You also need some of these players to stick around. You cannot keep re-building every year with cheaper players than you had. Fabregas for Arteta, RvP for Podolski. etc. is not the way to challenge in the future.

Ansah and Bellerin are no where near the first team imo. Bellerin isn't that great defensively, despite being a right back, and if there are any young strikers that would make it here it is Afobe. And even that's unlikely. There are only three young players not in the first team that have a chance of making it here, Gnabry, Olsen and maybe Toral.

This year is probably a year too early for those three but Gnabry has been great at under 18's and made the step up well to the reserves. Physically he's already pretty big but i can't see him getting near a PL game for a while. Could get a bench spot in a CC game if we pull someone shit.
