Not sure why we needed another Striker, but thanks anyway.

Really? Chickenburrito adds no link up play, Berbatov is lazy and Welbeck is average. In any case, shouldn't we be thanking you?

24 mill for a 29 year old with one year left on his contract is ridiculous. You guys could have solved all your midfield problems with that money. And Fergie was having a moan last week about the football world going mad. Fckn alcholic muppet.

Looks like Song is on his way out too.

If we get rid of the merkin and Song and just throw whatever we get from them at M'Vila and Jovetic we will be better off for it.

If Barca fans were getting fed up with Fabregas' recklessness i can't wait to see how they'll handle this dumb bastard rampaging up the field leaving gaps big enough for half a team to stroll through. He had a great year last year in terms of assists but he offered no shield for the defence. Even if he wasn't leaving i'd still take a defensively minded DM (M'Vila, Capoue etc.) over this Fabregas wannabe.

I'm still optimistic about the season, provided we bring in a couple more players.

Cause RVP and Rooney > Little Pea, Welbeck, Berbs

But anyway

If we get Sahin and hold onto song at start of season it will be

----------Song--------Arteta-------
------------/-----Sahin---------
Cazorla----------------Gervinho
--------------Podolski----------

Goals Galore, then we got the likes ok AOC, Giroud, Walcott to Destroy Tired Defences with 20 to go

Looks like Sahin is going to Liverpool. Their midfield is looking good for this season.

Song is heading to Barca.

Sahin isn't an AM fwiw.

The highlighted sentence was the point I was getting at. Our weaknesses are central midfield and fullback, and we go blow money on another striker (albeit a bloody good one).

Also Arsene has something up his Sleeve

M'Vila, Gotze, Gourcuff, or how about a loan for Lass Diarra

If looking for a striker

Huntelaar, Demba Ba, Damiao, Llorente, Tello, and at the end of the season get Romelu Lukaku

Song is going nowhere, Sahin is a cm but un his last season at Dortmund he played alot of AM to great success

Song is gone mate. It's as good as confirmed. His attitude has turned to shit since he started getting linked with that catalonian cvnts and Wenger is sick of it.

I'd put money on us bringing in M'Vila to replace him.

Maybe Ferguson sees Kagawa as a CM instead of the CAM/Winger he was playing for BVB. A midfield pairing of Kagawa and Carrick could turn out pretty well. Then on the wings Valencia and Nani with Rooney sitting behind RvP. Plus there's Zinedene Cleverly that Utd fans seem to think so highly of.

Personally i think you guys match up offensively pretty well with City. I think they shade you in defense though. But considering how close you went last season with all those injuries i'm guessing Ferguson doesn't think you need too many reinforcements. It's not like City have been spending their usual 100million this window.

Definitely between the two of you again this season. I do hope City wins though. RvP and his ambition can go and get fckd. Would love to see what he would do if he went a couple of seasons trophyless with you guys, won't happen though. Ferguson is too good for you not to win anything.

Disagree entirely.

Dein Jnr isn't a piss-stain on his father. David Dein should, and is credited with a lot of Arsenal's success over the past 15-20 years. He made a huge contribution to the club and it's no surprise that since his departure, one aspect of the clubs management in which he was a major player in (player contracts/negotiations) has been been sub-par.

Regarding Robin van merkinface :

An excellent piece of business for the club. 24m pounds for a 29 year old injury prone striker who averages less than 10 goals a season and less than 20 games a season is a definite win for Arsenal. Yes, selling to perhaps our second biggest rival after Spuds isn't ideal, but one must keep in mind that Arsenal needed to sell him, and it was only ever going to be a handful of clubs that could realistically bid : Both Mancs, Juve, A.C Milan and the two Spanish teams. The latter two are discarded as he'd only be a bit part player, the same goes for City. No doubt the strife at Juve scared him away, and who knows how keen A.C Milan ever were. It was either United, or lose him on a free. Plus, I don't care who it is, once a player no longer wants to play for Arsenal, he must be sold.

I just thought that Robin was better than this. He often went on about his love for the club. Reminiscing about owning Arsenal jerseys as a lad and the like. I didn't know whether to laugh or put my fist through my computer when I read his bullshit comment about the "little boy inside him" screaming for Manchester United.

I do rate Sahin and M.Sissoko though - great idea, but can't see it happening.

Darren has pushed 5 players out the door in 2 years, why the club let his old man go, we will never know but it was a stupid move, without hom their is no arsene wenger at the gunners.

P.S we just drew nil all, Cazorla was good the other 2 were ok at best giroud missed a sitter aswell.

Hopefully we get sahin and a DM plus maybe another Game breaker

Because he's a greedy merkin of an agent seeking commission on big transfer fees? I'm not too fussed with Song leaving. Bought for 400K, sold for 15m and he's totally replaceable. He'll quickly become Barcelona's new Hleb.

David Dein quit after boardroom quarrels - and I can't blame him.

Cazorla was incredible. Especially considering he's flown to Puerto Rico and back, and played 90 minutes merely 3 days ago.

Giroud's miss was disappointing, but check out his movement for the chance - very promising indeed. Had it been on his much stronger left foot, we'd be celebrating a win.

Remember that Liverpool were thumped by WBA (should have been 4-0) and Spurs lost.

Well that solves the question of can Giroud score with both feet. The answer is no.

You know your in trouble in Arshavin comes on. Yuck.

On the plus side....Cazorla wow what a buy.

Well Song been sold to Barcelona

But we have also Signed Nuri Sahin on a year long loan, at best form Sahin > Song, and i actually liked demolition man.

I dont get the move, hes going to sit on the bench, unless hes deployed as a CB, and last time he did that he was horrible.

Well after calming down and having a nice sleep ill give some thoughts on the game

1. Cazorla gor under 15Mill, Genius, he was so lively for a tired player
2. Giroud, was alright, made good runs, but needs to practice shooting with his right
3. Wow who was that tall dude in the number 2 jersey

The rest well not much you can take from the game, when the other team park an Oil Tanker, on the field, a good run out and the team will be better for it.

Substituted after an hour after playing up front

I read the Eurosport report. Did nothing like he usually does. I've watched enough of him to know he will fit in with your small club.
