I'd prefer to spread the same wages we would spend on Kaka/Sneijder in getting Gotze, M'Vila and Sakho. We need depth to compete on four fronts. Not just one midfielder.

I don't mean both Kaka and Sneijder. I meant Hazard and one of those two. They overlap and getting both would be overkill, but with the 200k a week wages off the books with the sales of Fabregas and Nasri, we can afford one of them.

I understand....i just don't see Wenger paying those wages even if Nasri and Fabregas's are off the list.

Not a chance in hell you'll get him. Dortmund won't sell, he doesn't want to leave yet, and if he was leaving he'd have all the other top clubs after him.

BunniesMan clearly hasn't watched Bundesliga...
Bundesliga is overrated. It has virtually the entire German team and very few top class players from from other countries.

Bundesliga is just like the German national team. Overhyped and put in their place whenever a real competition comes around. A german team has made it to the CL final just once in the last 9 years.

Germany got pumped in the last 2 world cups.

Bundesliga is an inward looking league with not enough non German talent to be taken seriously.

Dortmund would have come 5th at best in last years Premier league.

Germany got pumped when they beat England 4-1 and Argentina 4-0? Were they pumped a fortnight ago when they played Brazil off the park?

You are without doubt the dumbest merkin that ever graced this forum. You stopped at CL finals for 9 years, why is that?

This has got to be a piss-take?

Germany were the form team of the last world cup. Had they played Spain in the final, the trophy would be sitting in Berlin right now. Even Germany's U23 team would spank nearly every other senior national team in the world.

Bayern :

Ribery
Robben
Olic.

Dortmund :
Subotic
Kagawa
Blaszczykowski

Wolfsburg :
Benalgio
Kahlenberg
Kjaer

Leverkusen :
Renate Augusto
Barnetta
Derdiyok

Schalke :
Farfan
Huntelaar

That's just off the top of my head.

Of course they have SOME foreign players, but nothing like England and Spain. The Bundesliga is not the equal of the Premier League and La liga. UEFA agrees.

Oh well, the debating on the merits of Bundesliga will be settled when the #1 Bundesliga team takes on the #4 Premier league team. If we win like I think we should win, it will be settled.

Meanwhile, word is we're nearing on Hazard and Cahill. One will make our defense 1st class, the other has been described as 'the next Messi' (and that's not exaggerating, how good does a player have to be to make a tightarse like Wenger spend 30 million....).

In terms of overall quality (once again, it depends on your interpretation of the word), of course it isn't up to the EPL, or the La Liga. But in terms of entertainment and balance, in my opinion it's the best in Europe.

Bolton's CEO confirmed that he has had talks with Arsenal, Cahill may be on his way. If Henderson is worth 20m, then Cahill is worth 17. Screw messing around with a few million pounds Arsene, meet his release clause and be done with it.

you obviously haven't seen Arse's interview this morning, he made a ridiculously low offer and Bolton flamed him saying why did you bother ? so what did Arse do ?

he flamed Bolton in return

the guy has the PR skills of a sherman tank

That's nothing on the bickering Barcelona and Arsenal had for 2 years, didn't stop them making a deal.

We want their star. They want the maximum for him. Obviously there's going to be a certain amount of theatrics going on, doesn't mean there won't be a deal.

Bolton have signed Boyata on loan from City, that could be a sign they're selling Cahill.

Also, Wenger is apparently keen on Benzema. (He's young, fast and french...nuff said).

Our spine on September 1 could be
Szczesny-Cahill and Vermaelen-Wilshire and Hazard-Van Persie and Benzema

That is good enough to win the league if a) those signings happen, and b) that core stays relatively uninjured. And most importantly, as a whole, it is better than the team we had on the last day of last season.

I read a while ago that Real see benzema as their main stricking option this year. We should have had a go when he was stranded on the bench.

Benzema is off limits. Now that he has hit form, Higuain can't even start. Should have tried poaching him last year.
And Bunniesman.......you think you can beat FC Bayern, Inter, Milan, Borussia Dortmund and OL regularly? You really are special
I hope you guys buy a few quality players to boost the squad in terms of strength and depth, but to even claim what you did even with those players is ridiculous. At present Arsenal would be lucky to finish in the top three in Germany or Italy, let alone Spain and England.

Yes the Benzema option does seem to have gone cold. But another striker is a luxury at this point, our problems are at CB and midfield, and we're closer than ever to Cahill and Hazard. Those signings are very close to happening. Kaka isn't out of the question either. Cahill is excellent, and Hazard is worth every cent of the 35 million we're going to spend on him.

Now to stay up for the United game...hopefully to see a big upset.

Things will start to look up once we sign MVilla (who is a dead set gun) and Cahill. I have high hopes for Oxlade-Chamberlain who looks ready physically and I expect Hazard to come in the January window.

Also keep your eye out for Chuks Aneke, great physique, very skillfull, currently slaying them in reserves.

Several sources have us heavily linked with S.Korea captain Park Chu-Young from Monaco :

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/tra...Monaco-10million-EXCLUSIVE-article791653.html

The fact that we may have snapped him up as he was on his way for a medical at Lille is hilarious.

Regarding the game, we always perform against Man U - remember Ramsey's winner last year. The young guys will be keen to demonstrate why Arsenal 'don't' need to buy. Looking for a big game from RvP.
