Money is the Roots of all Evil

Lunging into a tackle when already on a yellow card and putting your team under pressure is also the Root of all Evil. :p

Anyway...

If (and its a big if at this stage) Wenger doesn't buy then there must be something hapening at the club behind the scenes.

They got themselves a lot of debt in building the new stadium, money they were suppost to make back by selling flats. Now the house prices have come down this could leave the club in a tricky situation.

Failure to qualify for the champs league this year could spell real trouble for them. Hence why they have sold Nasri instead of losing him for free. Obviously against the wishes of Wenger who made it clear he didn't want him to go.

Unless some players come in soon Arsenal vs United could get ugly, especially with Gervinho and Song suspended.

Will Wilshere be fit by then?

There are reports that Wilshere has re-injured himself and may be out for 2 months, I'm sick of this sh!t, we better make it past Udinese otherwise it's going to be a long season.

Nasri reportedly knocked back €120K a week from Arsenal to a much higher wage at Citeh.

FFP ?

How will Citeh possibly comply ?

With nearly £50 million in the Arsenal coffers from the sales of Nasri and Fabregas, Wenger was asked on Tuesday, 'You've lost two great players, will you replace them with two great players?', to which he replied: "I've bought some great players. We've bought [Alex] Chamberlain, you'll see that he'll be a great player. Gervinho too will be a great player

He's been brainwashed by Wenger

Hardly.

It shows a player with obvious dedication, loyalty and love for the club. Something which most professional players lack.

It'll be interesting to see how Gooners react at the next City game. It wont be as bad as Adebaywh*re, but I imagine it will be far from welcoming. Especially if reports stating he was offered 100K+ a week are true.

It's a kick to the face, a knife in the back. With Arsenal Nasri would be a starting team star. As a City player, he's merely a squad member. But, in the context it's the correct move by the club. By the time the next window comes around, City (or any other club) could sign him for free. 25m pounds for a player who would cost nothing in five months time is a decent deal.

Everything depends on tomorrow mornings game. A few reports have said that Hazard and M'Vila are ready to sign, and are merely waiting on champions league qualification to be guaranteed. Rennes have denied having any contact with Arsenal, and despite Hazard publicly stating on French TV that he would love to play for Arsenal, Lille haven't confirmed or denied anything. Hazard would be brilliant, M'Vila is a tad confusing, but FMD, ANY signings would be well welcomed.

Traore and Djourou will play against Udinese - Very good news as it prevents Squillaci from moving from the bench, Sagna playing out of position at LB and Jenkinson playing his third game in just over a week.

Jack's ankle still hasn't healed. He was training without the protective boot earlier in the week, but apparently it's a niggle that with pressure, can lead to a stress fracture. So the 'two month' rumour is probably a tad over-stated. He has been ruled out of the next England game, and against United, but I'm guessing he may be back definitely by the end of September.

Arsene can argue all he wants about how good Ryo, Chamberlain, Campbell and Jenkinson are but let's face it they are just kids with no experience at the top level of football and will not win us trophies anytime soon

I think that we need to sign at least a centre back, a left back and a centre mid all with both experience and QUALITY before deadline day otherwise it is goodbye season 2011-12..

Their bullshit stadium naming deal

that has not been sanctioned yet

their other option is to make €400 million worth of shirts and beanies and dump them in the ocean and say they were sold to the fans

its D Day for Arsenal, this is for me the biggest game in the clubs history since i started watching back in 97, if they lose its a 30mill loss.

It also means that top quality players wont come, and the chances of a top 4 finish drop to 25%

With the team to play, So much depends on how our returning injured players really are. Is Djourou really 90 minutes fit? Is Traore really 90 minutes fit? If they are my guess is that Wenger will pick players in their best position.

That would give a team of:-

Szczesny

Sagna...Djourou....Vermaelen...Traore

Song...Frimpong...Ramsey

Walcott....van Persie....Gervinho

Song, Frimpong and Gervinho will be asked to do a full shift, as they are banned for Sunday's game. Rosicky can come on to bolster a more attacking need, as can Arshavin. Wenger may start with Gervinho on the right, and Arshavin on the left, but having Walcott and Gervinho will threaten Udinese with fast counter attacks, and may stop them bombing forward.

If the returners are not really fit, then we would see Song at CB, and Jenkinson at FB, whether on the right or left.

I'm sure I'm like everyone, a bit apprehensive, hoping we can get an away goal. Going to be a long night/Morning, with short fingernails by the end methinks. Come on you Gunners!

At least we made it through, now let's hope that this brings in a couple of signings.
