Good news .. he has lost a fair bit of weight

Bad news .. caught him smoking at the waiting bay at st George hospital which is disappointing ..

Some kids these days have all the talent in the world and just take it for granted smoking binge drinking gambling pissing in your own mouth and so on ..

I wouldnt be putting smoking in the same category as binge drinking, gambling or pissing in your own mouth mouth.
Cliffy lyons, jim dymock, jason smith etc were all chain smokers and brilliant players.
So the kid smokes, are we going to hang him as a vulgur person in the Pearce/Carney category?
Chill pill needed champion, its just a cigarette.

Its a health thing, and indicative of his attitude. He is a professional athlete, and part of his commitment is ensuring that he is in peak physical condition to play when the trials kick off. Its what he gets paid to do. If he is a smoker, he's not giving his all for his job, his team or himself.

Its also 2017, I'm sure Lyons and Dymock sunk a 6 pack in the shwds after a game (god knows what Smith would do) but its a far more professional and competitive business now. Players need to be able to perform at their best.

I'm not saying we should sack, persecute or even criticise the bloke, but IF he is smoking in a hospital during the pre-season, when he is meant to be working towards peak physical fitness, its a concern.

Smoking well its a lifestyle choice and if Leilua wants to smoke that id his.
However, someone needs to have a chat with him regarding "where" he is seen doing it, I mean smoking outside a hospital to me is not a good look for him IMO.

I'm sure the staff would be seriously disappointed in any player who smoked or did anything that would setback the fitness regime they put in place.

SaintHarry are you sure it wasn't someone that just looked like Luciano? You did say he looked thinner...

A lot of footy players smoke, snort coke, drop MDMA caps, binge drink, punt and all sorts of shit, just like a many other young men around the country.

Honestly who gives a shit?

It honestly has me baffled why we expect these young fellas to be morally superior to the rest of the country? They play a game for a living FFS. They're not performing brain surgery or flying aeroplanes. Cut them some slack.

You would give a shit if he hit yours or someone else's child and killed or badly injured them whilst drving shit faced
Or because he is a professional rugbly league player it is ok
To say you dont care is a reckless comment you just have to watch the news to see how often drugs and alcohol are involved in crime
We should not condone it
I am not worried if he smokes cigarettes but any player or person caught on drugs or continual abuse of alcohol should be rubbed out of any sport

Sorry, I missed the part where anyone here condoned drink driving. How you've managed to get to that from someone having a cigarette is a fair stretch by anyone's standards.

Stick the topic and don't sensationalise things for the simple sake of arguing.

It's funny we've all got different opinions of people's behaviour, to me being pissed and drinking youre own piss just means your a drunk dickhead, no big deal really, smoking in the waiting room of a hospital is highly disrespectful, like throwing McDonald's in the car park as you drive off, not the biggest crime but it says something about morals, you're decency, hopefully it wasn't him..again just my opinion

I don't give a shit .. when I mean I'm disappointed I meant that some people out there would kill do be in there shoes I couldn't give shit if the guy did all of the above and performed week in week out but come this season if he putting in little minutes and huffing and puffing it's fair to say he should stop smoking .

Chill pill ? All I said was its disappointing to see that's my opinion and I'm entitled to it I didn't categorised I mearly gave example some are worse then others yes but if you ask carney he'll tell you pissing in his mouth wasn't a big deal at all and some people would agree with that others wouldn't like a mentioned to the other person who comment I couldn't give shit what he does just come game day he performs

And for all of you that are all talking if you have a son or daughter coming up in the ranks at a young age in any sport about to make it in the big time and you caught them smoking would you say "cut them some slack" or "it's not illegal" even if you didn't say anything you would be disappointed at the very least .. without needing a chill pill lol ...
