fantastic, thanks for your approval UT :D
but yes, toohey's smells like death.

You're welcome Raider 69

Regarding the bold bit, I'm not here to be judgmental on ppl who drink. I do have friends that are social drinkers (rather than those who get tanked every Friday/Saturday night). I understand that most ppl on this forum drink to some capacity (whether it be social drinking, or binge). After all, Australia has a strong drinking culture.

But, even if it wasn't religious, I don't think I would've ever had an attraction for the bottle. I remember when I was young, I always wondered why Australians referred to beer as piss (I'm not of Anglo-Saxon background btw), and I received my answer at one of my first footy games back in the mid-90s when I remembered going to the toilet and a man, standing outside, had drunk 4 or 5 Tooheys/VB cans and pretty much smelt like he wet his pants:lol:

Scumbag, if only Australia had corporal punishment so if this guy was convicted he would get some of what he has dished out.

On the alcohol part; cruisers ? really ? da f**k ?

Yes I know, beer is a terrible tasting drink, but cruisers ? its not even an alcohol, its a cordial.

WHY ?

I don't drink. Moral and religious beliefs aside, when I go to the footy, the smell of drinks like Tooheys New etc. is more than enough to deter me from ever touching it. I can never understand how ppl drink that stuff. However, I do understand that ppl who are 18+ are old enough to make their own choices, and I respect their decisions.

Well thanks for that reverend.

There are some interesting points raised in this thread

1. Why should we ban him when we haven't banned other players?
2. Why would a grown man drink bitch piss?
3. Why haven't the Tigers sacked him already?
4. How can Bunniesman have had experiences that cant have occurred yet?

I'll tackle the first point though.

I'm not one of the ban em and burn em brigade - in fact I prefer to allow someone the chance of rehabilitation rather than stringing them up by the family jewels at the first whiff of naughtiness. There have been other players that have been involved in domestic incidents. Greg Inglis, Greg Bird and Greg "Anthony" Cherrington that haven't been banned so why ban Greg "Robert" Lui?

On the face of it - simply banning people called Greg seems like a good idea, but there might be confusion with Gareths and both of them are squeaky clean, so we might have to hold off on that one.

I think the difference between the other "slap me bitch up" gang members and Lui is that he is a repeat offender. He was previously involved in an issue and he didn't learn from it. Statistics that haven't been made up to prove a point in an arguement do show that repeat offenders are far more likely to keep on keeping on than suddenly becoming the sort of citizens that win awards for their huge manatees.

On top of that, there is the severity of the alleged assault. Throwing a glass object in anger, kicking a door in or grabbing someone and hurting them in the process could be forgiven if it's a one off event - however grabbing someone by the hair and kicking their brains in goes well beyond "stupid" and even bypasses utter f**kwittery before landing in an area of complete unforgiveable disgrace.

He had his visit to the last chance saloon previously, now it's time to accept he is both a duche and turd sandwich and vote him out.

Bird was found not guilty. Cherrington I agree should be banned.

I'd be happy for the NRL to introduce a blanket life ban to any player found. Guilty of violence against women.

I'm a strong manly masculine heterosexual male. I like a whole bunch of teamsports, I like poker and girls and red meat. I happen to like cruisers because they taste better than beer or "_____ and coke's". Infact, in my expierience I've found my taste in drinks is a very effective conversation starter with the opposite sex in pubs/clubs: "you drink cruisers! omg i drink cruisers too, we got so much in common...lets have sex".

Two things:

1. Of course you are a big manly man. I'm sure you totally look it holding your red drink; and

2. I can guarantee you that you have not gotten any sex because you drink a red drink at the pub. Chicks don't tend to want to go home with a gay.

NRL's Lui pleads guilty to girlfriend assault

Updated March 21, 2012 13:20:40

Rugby league player Robert Lui has pleaded guilty to assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.

The NRL player was charged with assaulting Taleah Rae Backo in their Sydney home last year, three days after his former team, Wests Tigers, were eliminated from the finals.

Lui had previously denied the assault, but he changed his plea today in a Sydney court.

The 21-year-old was released by the Tigers after he was charged and now plays for the North Queensland Cowboys.

I suppose he'll get a contract extension now...

The lowlife should be sacked and deregistered now. That's what should happen but I'll be shocked if it does.

That is the reason we are stuck with Moltzen, who I thought should have been made to head to Saints, although they would more than happy now after seeing him perform this year.
I thought we should have punted Lui the first time in 2010,twice is a no brainer, deregister him Mr Gallop.

Isaac was his first indiscretion. He should be given a 2nd chance. Lui has punched his woman how many times now?
