Probably about right.

That said if he could have convinced Talea that he was stopping her from self harm he would have been home free

1 in 3 victims of DV are male and yet 100% of DV related funding to fight DV goes to womens groups despite the same feminists demanding and insisting women are equal in all aspects..

Again - 300 victims of DV in a room - 100 are Male..

And yes, I have been falsely accused of DV and I didn't much like it..

Not quite. According to your link:

Domestic violence (also known as intimate partner violence or IPV), and most elder abuse, child abuse and sexual abuse are all different forms of family violence.

and

up to One in Three victims of sexual assault and at least One in Three victims of family violence and abuse is male

If you've been falsely accused of DV, I sympathise. It doesn't happen often in my experience but does happen I know. But you need to be responsible and accurate with your claims or you just lose credibility.

Are we going to ban all players who get charged and/or convisted of doing something illegal?

16 weeks for assault?
10 weeks for drink driving?
6 weeks for shoplifting?
3 weeks for speeding?
2 weeks for urinating in public?
1 week for a bad haircut?

His figures are, quite simply, misleading. Violence against women by men has considerably different dimensions to violence by men against women. Sociological studies have consistently demonstrated that the male victims overwhelmingly experience mild violence, that does not cause them to fear for their safety, whereas female victims end up terrorised, afraid for their lives, and with a pervading sense of hopelessness. We might be talking about a 1/3rd of DV victims being men, but we're talking about an -entirely different- kind of violence being perpetrated on these men. That's why this country focuses its spending on female DV victims - they simply need it more.

FFS you're an idiot. Getting convicted for a serious crime will get you sacked from most jobs, apparently not from the PRIVILEGE of playing professional sport.

And some of you dickheads who are equating a pregnant woman getting bashed by a bloke, left cowering on the ground clutching at her stomach to protect her unborn baby is the same as some idiot getting bitch slapped by his missus.

All the PC crap you hear these days about men and women being equal, well guess what? We're not equal. At least when it comes to physical equality.

Womens bodies are designed to grow and then push small humans out of their vag. Mens bodies are designed to hunt wild animals and to fight wars with other men. Millions of years worth of evolution has left our genders with very different bodies. Far from equal bodies. Therefore male on female violence is very very very different from female on male violence. Anyone suggesting differently has been dumb enough to be brainwashed by Political Correctness which is the dumbest thought process known to man.

Interesting what you can do with statistics. I wonder whether the victim is the adult male partner or the children? I'd imagine the sexual assault statistic would be the father abusing the son.

Just when you think the Titans have the worst management in Rugby League, the Cowboys come back and steal there rightfully long held crown!

Worst run professional sporting organisation in Australia if not the world.

What is the point on signing this mongrel? Someone should be sacked over this.

I hope he never ever gets to wear Cowboys colours.

What pisses me off the most is that this Stella Artois will come back next season and play with someone and score or set up a try and Rothfield or the Tele will write a piece about how he has "answered his critics"

Like being good at sport absolves you of being a wife beater??

lol What a soft decision...

He should be banned from playing the game forever, we don't need little repeat offending bitches that headbutt their women in the game.

Once the ban is over hell come back to a 100k+ salary from a club desperate for a half and all will be sweet for the scumbag. Its a joke.

This perfectly aligns with my intuition and my own personal experience.

For the record, Coastbloke only ever looks at the world in black and white. There are no grey areas. So communicating like you did (which I think was very well put), will probably have little impact on his understanding of domestic violence.

Privilege is it? OK then.

The LAW should be punishing these guys with harsher penalties, not the NRL or ARLC.

Where do we draw the line on what is a "serious crime", and what is just a "crime"?
